Halfords Autocentre Tonbridge

AVOID!! second time I have tried and second time Halfords fail. Seems their technicians are never around. Also lack of knowledge. They called to ask where my locking wheel nut was, but my car has steel wheels and no locking bolt's. So they wasted 90mins of my time only to say the technician still wasn't there. Useless!

my golf failed mot the week before and was booked in first thing" thursday to have new anti rollbar fitted..the young lady at reception got the mechanic to do it straightaway even though she had no notification of "first thing".and were short staffed and busy..got the call at 8.45am saying it was ready

Avoid!!! Terrible service, do not use them. Paid for a service, plus over £950 pounds for brakes and pads to be replaced, start the car and the brake fluid needs changing. You would have thought they would have done that, they did not! Didn't phone to ask either. Questioned the Assistant (joke) manager, who couldn't care less, but said I can arrange another date to do so. She is an absolute clown, God know how it's got a job

Booked my car in for an easy job, Halfords phoned few days before the job and stated they don’t have the staff due to illness. Pointed out that I needed it done as getting close to my MOT, they assured me the new date would be fine. Get another phone call stating they are now short staffed and hopeful of new staff where they cancelled me again and gave me a third appointment. Couldn’t risk being cancelled for a third time so went to Tonbridge Kwik Fit who did the job no problem. Extremely poor and to top it off I still haven’t had a refund even after asking twice, appears also for refunds you have to get to the third incident. Been waiting almost two weeks for a refund, WHATS THE ISSUE. You owe me £184.06p.

Had my locking wheel nut sheared off, they handed me my keys told me I had to deal with it, no new tyres, just a broken nut still lodged in my locking wheel nut key. They tried to absolve themselves from blame and will dispute it. Extremely poor service, would recommend ANYWHERE else.

If you own Hyundai then don't bother to come to Halfords, they can't get parts as I have been told and they won't fix it for you. It's annoying!! I wanted to sort it out the issue found as per MOT but now I have to go different garage and pay again for MOT.

Called to check stock, as the retail store number isn't listed.You wait 2 minutes while the message condescendingly tells you it's quicker to check online (it's not - Halfords stock levels are never correct) - then it says you'll need to go instore to check stock" and puts down on you!Rude as anything - why couldn't it just start the message with "don't bother"?Cba with Halfords

Car booked in online nearly a week beforehand for tyres and wheel alignment. Had confirmation messages none of which mentioned anything about a problem. Turned up on the day only to be told they could not do alignment for whatever odd reason, did not seem at all interested in helping or to recommend viable solution other than to just refund however in my case the alignment was cause of needing tyres so no point in 1 without the other. So just refunded the lot. Shocked at level of service and that they could not tell me prior to turning up.

Had work done at tunbridge wells branch(10-15 mins away) work standards were poor at that branch.Nick was great help and fixed to high standards that The other guys couldn’t deliver.

I just wanted to say thank you to the team who took in my 77-year-old mother’s car yesterday (silver Fiat 500). Halfords had it all day - then didn’t charge her a penny and reassured her that nothing needed doing to it. This could have been very different in a lot of garages. Thank you for your honesty and integrity.
