Beware! King of GSM in Brighton - Ruined iPad, Incompetence, and DishonestyI am compelled to share my horrendous experience with King of GSM, a shop located in Brighton. Their inability to handle a simple cracked screen replacement on my iPad turned into an absolute nightmare. Not only did they fail to meet the promised 24-hour deadline, but they also neglected to inform me that the touch ID functionality was faulty when returning my device. The subsequent encounter with their untrustworthy and unreliable customer service further solidified my recommendation to stay far away from this shop.Firstly, King of GSM's inability to meet their own deadline was a frustrating inconvenience. I entrusted them with my iPad, expecting a timely repair, but they failed to deliver within the promised timeframe. This lack of professionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction is simply unacceptable.To make matters worse, upon receiving my supposedly repaired iPad, I discovered that the touch ID feature was not functioning properly. Astonishingly, King of GSM had conveniently neglected to mention this crucial detail when returning my device. When I contacted them about the issue, they initially denied any responsibility, claiming that intermittent touch ID failures were normal. However, after further insistence, they reluctantly acknowledged the problem but failed to offer a satisfactory solution.The shop's incompetence and dishonesty are evident in their handling of the situation. It is clear that they lack the necessary expertise and attention to detail required for delicate repairs. Their refusal to take immediate responsibility for the faulty touch ID and their attempt to pass it off as a common occurrence is a testament to their poor customer service and lack of accountability.I strongly advise anyone in need of reliable and trustworthy service to steer clear of King of GSM in Brighton. Their unreliability, untrustworthiness, and poor customer service make them an establishment to avoid at all costs. Dishonest - I trusted them to repair my partner's phone and whilst they were at it they swapped some of the working components for inferior parts - no doubt so they can sell them on at a profit. It's clear from the reviews that I'm not the only person this has happened to either - do not trust these crooks.

I received very poor service from this business. They were far more interested in charging me for repairs that did not completely sort the issue, than to help me. When finally taking my laptop to another COMPETENT shop, it looked like they tampered with my laptop meaning I would have to seek further repair. I'd advise not wasting your time and money with this shop.

Honesty is key, these guys wont beat around the bush. If it can be fixed they will go out of their way to fix it. If it is not fixable they will go out of their way to get you the best deal. Friendly, generous, awesome. Truly is a great service. King of GSM IS the place for my mobiles and laptops.

After the repair they returned the phone with a scratched screen. And I gave with a perfect screen.... ;( ......... Hanging a sheet with a phone number, how to call them from a broken phone???? Oh and the usb does not connect to the computer - such a coincidence as with vaccines....

Took a 6 month Samsung phone in with a cracked screen. This is what came back? And they think this is acceptable? When expressed concerns totally not interested and this is apparently ‘the risk you take when you remove the back of the phone’ never heard such rubbish, was never told about on initial enquiry - there are cracks all over the back and in the camera area. As they are not interested in offering the easy solution of replacing the back for free we will be taking this further. Avoid at all costs you will come back with an equally or further damaged phone.

Friendliest most helpful guy ever!!!! Don’t waste your time wandering round Brighton looking for somewhere to print something (like I did)- just go straight to king of GSM!! Guy was super friendly and printed my document in seconds! Would highly recommend

My Grandma Barb and I always go to KING OF GSM for all of our phone needs. Milan and the team are always super helpful and kind. They also do a great job answering questions.

Bought a tablet 5 days ago, the device would restart for no reason and the screen flickers. So I took it back and asked for a refund.. The guy in the shop said I could have broken it and so they wouldn't give me a refund. I have checked with trading standards and they said I am right to expect a refund. We have 28 days to return any item, for a refund. Feel like Ive been robbed. And also accused of dishonesty. Have a really bad taste left after dealing with these people, I would not trust them.. I bought it from a store thinking I would be protected.
