Been here a few times now out of desperation for food and short lunch breaks! The red haired woman behind the counter is a thief that tries to charge you more every time amd says it’s a mistake! They also charge 50p to use your card! I have never been in there and took away chips in under 15 minutes she always says the chips are ready until she gets your money! She is rude and ruins the experience as soon as you walk in and see her! The best thing about the place is the young girl on the till she know what she is doing and is polite and gets the job done just a shame the old woman can’t cook chips! Rip off and waste of time! Highly recommend the butchers or flowerpot cafe rather than here stay away

Visited twice. First time the fish and chips were absolutely delicious. Chips crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Batter on the fish was perfectly crispy. PERFECT!Second visit, the chips were soggy, chewy and looked slightly shrivelled as though they'd been standing a while. The batter on the fish had no crispness at all. VERY DISAPPOINTING.So I agree with other reviews of this chip shop, sometimes they're outstanding, other times they're very much below standard!Parking is also difficult here.

Great chippy lots of choices of size and type of fish, pies, burgers with veggie options. Tables and chairs for eat-in or while you're waiting, very friendly assistants.

We arrived here as the place was closing, everyone there was so accommodating and waited patiently as we had to go to the local ATM to get money. A great first impression.That was only a small precursor to the food that followed. The food was absolutely delicious, the chips were fresh, crisp and fluffy and the mushy peas were divine.The best chippy I have come across locally. Great place.
