Chasewater Dogs - Dog Training & Behaviour Modification

I can not recommend Stewart enough! I adopted a Romanian rescue dog almost two years ago and over time she became for protective and aggressive and was always very scared of people. After working with Stewart for around 4 months Xena has literally transformed! She is so much better around people, her recall and listening is so much better and she is so much happier! I had lost hope in finding a trainer for her, as lots of others said due to her being a street dog she could not change however Stewart has proved them all wrong and exceeded all expectations I had! I contacted Stewart after a difficult summer since we got our second dog, Henry almost 4 and reactive with other dogs particularly on lead, and Freddie almost 10 months, a friendly happy eager pup, my main problem was trying to walk 2 on lead, it’s not been enjoyable especially if another dog was approaching us, I had Henry jumping and barking then Freddie thinking this is a great game let’s join in…Stewart has a very calm presence about him, will listen to my concerns and always address what I think are my needs, I took both my dogs on a lead walk this week on my own, and Henry didn’t react when faced with another dog, training has also made me realise that I have a lot to learn, (first time dog owner) and having a trainer isn’t aquick fix, it’s about you, the owner putting in the work at home, we train every night, and I’ve taken the training techniques that Stewart has shown me, to use in every day situations. As I can see everyday improvements I am becoming more confident and really enjoy training at home.I also attend the group sessions each week, this is what I really love about Chasewater dogs, 1-1 training tailored for your needs but group sessions to help with the socialisation that both my boys need, I would absolutely recommend Stewart and take advantage of group sessionsDebbie Henry & Freddie

Stewart has helped me so much with my dog. When I first met Stewart I could barley walk my dog without being dragged down the street, and certainly couldn’t let him off the lead.Now three months later my dog walks well on the lead and has great recall so he can finally go off lead for a run.Stewart has also been a massive help finding a food my dog can finally eat without setting he allergies off.Highly recommend Chasewater Dogs.

I have been going to Stewart for a couple of months now with Biscuit my Shipoo. He is our 1st family dog and Biscuit was reactive to other dogs which was becoming a problem when out and about and when away on holiday. After 3 one to one session and attending the group session weekly, along with changing his food there has been a massive difference. Stewart is honest and straight talking, and seems to understand ALL dogs. Glad I decided to invest in improving my dog and our lives with him.

We booked a series of 1:1 and group sessions with Stewart for our dog, who had reactivity issues with other dogs. Stewart gave us lots of useful advice and provided us with a range of techniques which have really helped. We have noticed a big difference in our dog and we are grateful for the support.

I’ve been working with Stewart to help my dog Frankie walk better on the lead & learning how to control her better around other dogs. Frankie is a Staffy but she didn’t have a very good start to life & was adopted from a shelter at about 2 years old. She has improved so much, even from the first lesson she took to Stewart & his teaching. Would 1000% recommend him for anyone needing training especially if you think you dog is beyond help, I did with Frankie & in my opinion I made the best choice finding Stewart.

I can't recommend Stuart enough. Before we came to Chasewater dogs, I was getting anxious to walk our bouncy and reactive dog regardless of attending 3 other training courses by a different company. I was constantly worried about meeting other dogs and being pulled over and just not enjoying our walks... using Stuarts techniques I can now comfortably take our boy for walks without stress and back to enjoying them as it should be.

We first met with stew in April/May 2023 and have never looked back. From the get go he cliqued not only with our boy diesel the doberman but us as his owners. Stew is patient, observant and extremely knowledgeable. Diesel is now able to heel nicely on a walk whereas before he would consistently pull, leading me to be fearful of going out places with him. We had a combination of 10 1-1 sessions which allowed us the time for stew to focus solely on diesel and we now also still do a weekly group session for diesel to socialise with all sorts of breeds which is great for him and other dogs too.
