Oaklands Wedding Venue

How lovely this place was for a wedding I attended, literally spent 15 pound all day. Food was amazing, staff were 1st class, very professional and the grounds were spotless. Definitely recommend for a wedding venue. First class. :)

What an amazing place. Total attention has been given to every detail. The huge outside area is stunning: which starts with a beautiful drive down a tree lined lane - then opens up to give the full view of this venue. It’s one of those places - that brings out such positive emotions. The wood and glass of the venue building …. Is breathtaking. Architecturally - it is faultless. Walk inside and you are blown away. I imagine everyone who has had the privilege of being invited to an event here …. will remember how the day made them feel forever. For me: my favorite moment was when I walked across the bridge over the lake, then turned back towards the venue building …. took my breath away. Filled me with positivity and that “can do anything” way of feeling. Splendid day!

Stunning, beautiful and amazing! My Granddaughter is getting married here and we went to view the accomadation that has just been built!

We got married at the grand lodge this past weekend. Firstly I have to say Oaklands is a stunning venue, the eye to detail in the decor is simply breathtaking and we had the best day of our lives in front of our friends and family. Vicky was great our wedding co ordinator - even on setup she helped us with a table center malfunction.I would love to give 5 stars but there was sadly a couple of things that let out overall experience down. Firstly, the additional charge for Master of Ceremony. Had this come complimentary with the initial fee I wouldn’t be able to complain however we did find the gent to be very unresponsive in the run up. We booked meetings for early 2023 because we had some concerns over having multiple artists play at the venue and cross over being an issue. We didn’t get to do the meeting and so sadly had to book our entertainment on a whim. When we did finally get our meeting he promised to contact all our artists to organise set up and let them know who he was for the day.. 2 days before said artists had told me he hadn’t reached out and so that caused a lot of stress two days before. I don’t feel the service we got was adequate. Even on the day we didn’t feel the gent was approachable, it’s a shame really because it has affected our experience which would have been otherwise perfect.The other issue was previous to the day we’d discussed moving some tables for the evening this wasn’t done I explained I wanted this to happen to stop people having an allocated seat and meaning they mixed together more. I did make it really clear that it was important to us for that to happen but it was an oversight on Oaklands behalf.We had a fantastic day. Nothing will ever be perfect on your wedding day but asked for a honest review this is it.Overall, even despite the issues we had I would recommend oaklands, it’s a stunning venue in a picturesque location.
