Weir Caravan Park

Lovely quiet caravan park, friendly staff and nice clean facilities. Set in a beautiful part of Yorkshire(Stamford Bridge) which in itself is lovely, however it's also only a short journey away into York. Easily accessible by bus if you fancy a little tipple in one of Yorks many public establishments. If you want an amazing meal in Stamford Bridge, (within walking distance of the caravan park) I highly recommend No10 Bistro (phone and book a table at busy times to avoid disappointment)

If you're looking for a quiet, relaxed few days then this is for you. There's no on site entertainment centre, so that means there isn't noise until the early hours, or people partying everywhere and drinking all day. Not that there's anything wrong with that on holiday, but when you have young kids that's not the best.The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the caravan was a good size and clean. There's some lovely places to go walking.The kids took their scooters and had loads of fun going round the ring road on site.There is a £50 security deposit which we were unaware of when booking, maybe I missed it, but we received a phone call to tell us it had been refunded not long after we had got home.On site WiFi wasn't working for us, but we could get enough of a mobile data connection in both our phones to hotspot the kids tablets.York City Centre is about a 20min drive so plenty to entertain you there if you fancy, not so much to do in Stamford Bridge for kids, or adults for that matter outside of the 3 or 4 pubs.Would go again.Edit: update from return visit - on site wifi is installed in each caravan now, was fast enough for multiple devices to all stream at the same time.

Lovely caravan park and very peaceful all you want from the village nice pub's and shops 20 minutes to York on the bus.The caravan was very clean no problems at all will stay again

Stayed in the Minister for a long weekend. Very roomy and super clean. Peaceful part of the world. Welcome was very warm, couldn't do enough for us. Would definitely book again. Dave and Kath.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed on this site, and it is a great base to explore the surrounding areas.The caravans are privately owned, booked through the Hoseasons website, but well maintained.The Weir that runs alongside the site is beautiful, and loud but calming at the same time.I highly recommend staying here
