Brilliant family-run dry cleaners. Have used all services (dry cleaning, alterations, laundry, upholstery/curtain cleaning) and they always go the extra mile so items look great and as good as new. Thank you, will keep coming back!

I have used Carmen Services for many years now for dry cleaning, ironing, and house cleaning and have always been very pleased with the results of their work. I was very happy that Aliona not only maintains the high standard of the previous owner but has actually built on that standard. Carmen Services is situated between two roads running off the Uxbridge Road, West Lodge Avenue and King Edwards Gardens which is more of a community. To my knowledge most residents of these streets use Carmen with total satisfaction. It was therefore with some surprise that I read the vexatious reviews below. The comments posted are alien to my knowledge of Carmen Services and the owners and are so similar in content to each other, I can only assume there is an hidden agenda. I was also made privy to the CCTV showing these 'incidents' and as a result I have suggested to Aliona that the police be involved.

Please do not use this place as it is a waste of your money and the owner is highly aggressive.I had two dresses dry cleaned. I got them back in exactly the same condition so I queried this with the man who then shouted at me and said they had to be hand washed. I asked him to lower his voice as I had not shouted at him but had asked a question in a very calm way. He proceeded to shout at me to pay him which said I would, but that as a customer I have every right to say if I'm unhappy with a service. I paid after which he shouted at me further. I asked him if he owns the place and he said yes.If he explained to me in a friendly, calm manner that the stains couldn't be removed I wouldnt be so upset. I have never been shouted at like that in a shop where I'm a paying customer. Absolutely disgraceful.It is cheaper than places in Acton but its worth travelling a bit further and paying more for a friendly service.

I have used Carmen for 3 years now and find them excellent. Clothes sent for dry cleaning are always beautifully treated and returned. If they find difficult stains they will often re-clean 2 or 3 times, at no extra cost, to remove them. They also came to my house recently and did a thorough clean of carpets, curtains and upholstery - all really well and thoroughly done.

I have been a customer of this friendly, family run dry cleaning business for many years now. I have always been more than satisfied with the quality of the service provided and the reasonable cost. I consider the owner of the shop, Aliona, to be courteous and extremely thorough in her work. Before accepting any item for dry cleaning she checks the garment carefully and gives an honest appraisal as to whether or not it is suitable for dry cleaning and in fact, if she thinks that any risk of discolouration or damage etc is involved, she politely tells me to not go through with it and to take the clothing home until I can provide her with the correct information concerning the material. In addition to this service she also does alterations, at a fraction of what it would cost me elsewhere and again, I can find no fault here. For these reasons I have become a regular customer. I consider myself lucky to have the above shop, which is large, clean and with such a gracious, helpful and above all, professional couple, in my neighborhood.

Please do not use this service. I had sent in a blazer for cleaning. It returned blotchy and discoloured all over. I went to see them and ask why this had happened and that if they felt it was in such a bad state initially and couldn’t have been fixed they had a duty to inform me prior to taking the job. They should also have informed me that it was damaged upon receiving it. To my utter disbelief I was met with anger, rudeness and humiliation. The woman shouted that she didn’t need to explain anything and that it wasn’t her fault that the item was “dirty”. I said she had a duty to tell me of the damage as a result of her work. My mother had collected the item for me - she is British, wears a hijab and speaks English. I mention this because in response to my query the laundress responded aggressively with: “your mother doesn’t speak English and she doesn’t understand anything”. Naturally I reacted and told her she was being racist. I pointed my finger in her direction but nowhere near her physically as I told her what she’d said was unacceptable. Rather than apologising, she pushed my finger away aggressively and accused ME of being racist for calling out her behaviour. Her male partner/colleague intervened to tell her to calm down. But instead she continued in her aggression towards me in her physical demeanour as she ordered me to leave her shop. The man held the door open and asked me to leave. I have witnessed and experienced racism first hand before. But never has someone called me “dirty” or said of my mother that she “doesn’t understand”. I’ve never been ejected from a place before and have always sought to help my community and support small businesses. I'm still shaken as is my mother that someone would have such a vile and aggressive reaction to her. Please do not use this service - such behaviour as no place in our society.UPDATE: after adding this review I received a response from someone asking me to remove my comment. I assume this person to possibly be the abusive woman from the shop. I will not take down this post as it is a civic duty to expose abuse and racism targeting any member of the community. It is also vital that we do not allow bullies to threaten us. Today I was the victim. In the comment she also states that CCTV material is available. I am very glad to hear this. I had informed the shop I would be reporting the incident to the police and as such I of course did so. I hope the footage will indeed be passed on to the authorities. All that was expected from the lady was to apologise for the poor job done on the item of clothes I had handed to them - instead she decided to attack me - this is unacceptable!

Best to avoid this place at all cost!Owner is rude, racist, aggressive and unapologetic after destroying a blazer left with her for a simple dry clean.There are plenty of good local dry cleaners, this is NOT one of them.

Best Dry Cleaners and Laundrette in London!! Professional and willing and able to help with any issues. Excellent service and always with a smile. Couldn't recommend them enough.

I went to this place to wash my school blazer and jacket once i received them a few days ago they looked EXACTLY the same just wrapped in plastic I thought that maybe it was just me and it had been cleanedso now for a new school year, I thought I'd dry clean the blazer and came upon the google reviews and read that it's not only me who received the same clothes even though I paid for a servicethat's terrible
