Lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. Very peaceful a warm day not sure what it would be like in winter

Where my boyfriend and I went as part of our first date, we went back there today to reminisce and it was lovely. The addition of the Silk Mill Museum of Making next year will be wonderful! ❤️

Nice little park, grass is kept well no rubbish and plenty of bins, I came for the vegan market which was great so I will definitely be visiting here again

Nicely tidied up, seats near the river and flowers left by members of the public for the Queen

I have no idea what all the fuss is about, having visited Tim Hortons in Vancouver some years back. I was somehow expecting a similar offering here in Derby. The first thing to say is that the staff are very helpful as long as you don't ask them anything complicated by using the almost compulsory touch sensitive screens, anything you put in there is just ignored. The coffee is average at best and overpriced at worst,The doughnuts are absolutely nothing special indeed. I would go as far as saying that the ones you can get in the local supermarkets are actually better and about 1/5 of the priceI may visit again but given that within half a mile we have a better selection of fast food and coffee franchises, it is not high on my list of priorities

It's a beauty in its own. You can see the leaves changing colour which makes a perfect background for your autumn pics

Slightly strange area of Derby, it's really close to the city centre yet feels quite separate from it. It's had a significant amount of investment in recent years and actually looks pretty decent. The 'green' area is quite nice and there's often people just soaking up the sun during the summer. The new Museum of Making is also located here as is a Premier Inn.The green also forms part of a cycle network that runs right across the city following the river.Historically it's nationally important as the Museum of Making is arguably the world's first purpose built factory and the Premier Inn sits on what was Exeter House, the location of Bonnie Prince Charlie's council of war that basically ended his campaign for the crown.Overall a nice area especially during the summer.
