The Race Centre

Positives; The car parking was free and the young man that was hosting us was friendly.Negatives; The graphics were from 2007. Better graphics on my mobile phone. The technology / programme used kept crashing and we were moved positions twice before our 1 hour slot was up. Luckily there were only 2 of us ''playing'', the other 10 places were vacant. I would have been even more disappointed had there been other paying guests on the vacant seats and we had to stop our game due to software problems. Avoid would be my advice, unless they drastically invested in better simulations / driving games.

Very excellent setup, did GP heats. Granted I came last in every race, but staff made this a good experience regardless.We went as a birthday group and were catered for very well. Price was very good for what we got.Many thanks

Spent 3 hours at the race centre recently. There were 3 of us, midweek & we had the place to ourselves. The lad who was looking after us was fantastic, he couldn’t do enough for us. Great day out

It was good fun. Read other negative reviews and actually it was nothing like how others had described it. The screen froze right at the start and the lad had it sorted in about a minute. Lot less hassle than go karting when you have to stop or slow down every other lap when someone crashes.

Really good fun for the whole family. Clever how it works to be honest. They even have a leader board for the fastest laps etc. Makes it all very competitive, brilliant. However, without an arm and a leg, you won't be racing much, it's pricey.

Disappointed 16 year old, the sims are poorly maintained and poor graphics. Arrived for the open session on Sunday aside from a quick intro in how it works no staff interaction, best part of three hours in and two races down he is gutted.Sits in a pod race already started, half the people decided to sack it off and leave after one race or even just practice, staff too busy having a social chat at the control centre rather than listening to issues or even explaining what’s going on absolutely not the experience advertised.Poor sim experience not up to date looks like a PS3 running it (note it is windows running it) venue is dirty not cleaned from previous night, chips and food all over the place.Don’t want to listen to staffs Snapchat conquests and hang over stories. Wanted a fun sim experience for my son and simply did not get that…Shambles

Visited today as a gift. Although the staff were friendly and no complaints there. The computers crashed on a few occasions. 1 of the pods was faulty and the fella Who was in it was disappointed. Couldn't understand why he was put in the faulty pod in the first place. Probably won’t return

Great fun for a group night out.Raced Donington circuit in formula fords, DTM & GP2 cars.Staff were great and helpful. Parking is limited, but there's other carparks close by. (Barum top is free after 6pm).£22.50 got us close to 2 and a half hours of racing, with a leaderboard, lap charts and trophies.

Thoroughly enjoyed our session there; we were well looked after by John and the rest of the team while our 11 year old daughter enjoyed herself with the F1 cars.Really looking forward to going again!

The racing simulation is really good just gets let down by the software having alot of problems mine turned off mid race and the guy running it just sits there playing on his phone not doing his job at all
