Brazuca 1 Gentry Grooming

Had my hair cut by the guy with blonde perm. He had a headset on and was talking to someone all the way through - very rude. He seemed very disinterested and couldn’t even crack a smile. I was given the child’s cape which was embarrassing. He never raised the chair so I could barely see the reflection in the mirror. The sides were trimmed so high my hair was sticking out at the top! Had to fix it myself at home.

Been coming here every now and again for a few years. Always happy enough with the service. Usually have somebody different each time and the quality isn’t always consistent. I understand this is due to the employees not always planning to stay in Carlisle/UK long term but have taken a star off for that.

Had to amend my previous star rate after second visit.I never experience such a poor hair cut. Barber absolutely forgot about symmetry.I also didn't like to be turned round on my chair to not face mirror because he had some issue with his leg.Won't be back, waste of money.

Very friendly and professional. Laudy has lots of experience, my son loves to go there.

Never been to this barbers before but I will definitely be returning. Went in and was greeted by a very smiley chap called Guto, I went from looking homeless to handsome and found it all very relaxing. He managed to make me laugh multiple times and the fact his english isn’t the best just shows how good everything else was! Highly recommended, especially if you have a beard! Top marks Guto!

my wife went in for a haircut and she said she had the worst experience ever. the hairdresser washed her hair 3 times in freezing cold water and then she cut her hair with blunt scissors. she said it was the most painful experience ever. the price was exceptional expensive too, charging her £25.00 which she said she could have more pleasant and cheaper experience somewhere else. it used to be good place for a haircut but it suddenly went downhill this year.

Absolutely shocking, avoid if you have a beard. What’s described as and what you pay for is a hot towel shave, is not what you get. When they first set up Flavia was brilliant. Unfortunately once more shops opened and she no longer did any of the haircuts or beard styling it went downhill rapidly. I haven’t used them for a number of years. I was in need of a haircut and beard trim and shape. They are open late so against my better judgment decided to give them another try. What happened can only be described as a 15 minutes torture session at the hands of a sadist wielding a 1980’s Remington electric razor. Abject misery and pain ensued with several layers of skin removed. The sadist also laughed when he slapped on cheap aftershave, when he finished. The final moment of sadistic pleasure rippling through his body. Took four days for my skin to recover. Absolutely shocking, avoid unless you want to feel like you are in a Hellraiser movie!!

Started going to the Brazuca 1 on Newtown road a couple of months ago and been a handful of times now.Very friendly service, good atmosphere and very talented barbers.Just taken my nephew in for a straight shave and a beard trim for myself.Plus a complementary bottle of beer is always a good thing!

Used to be my go to hair dressers, but the standard of hair cuts have dramatically dropped! Barber couldn’t cut a line straight, also didn’t appreciate being turned round on my chair to be facing other customers whilst getting cut because the barber has to sit down because of his sore leg that he’s had forever!!When I’m getting my hair cut, I still like to look in the mirror so I can see what the barber is doing.....I have thick stubble on my face with a no guard on sides and back, he didn’t offer to blend it in or tidy it up! One side was left higher than the other, had to sort it out properly when I got home with the Philips one shave!I won’t be back, I’ll stick to one of the barbers on botchergate
