A pretty Welsh pub. Set back from main road but can still get busy. A decent place to go and watch the football. Good staff. Decent beer. There is a pool table but can get very busy on a weekend.

Absolutely stupendous pub. Coming here felt like stepping into a fantasy tavern.It's a proper welsh bar with signature drinks and good stuff on tap, the staff are incredibly tolerant and friendly in spite of rambunctious activity, they're all very reasonable and amicable, yet direct when they need to be. When it was time to leave, they very kindly directed us out but encouraged us to return. On Tuesdays, they have these 'folk nights' in which they play vintage musical instruments purely for our pleasure, it's a fantastic vibe and they have very reasonable prices for all drinks. I truly cannot sing praises of this bar enough, its so delightful as are all the staff.

I loved this place. Local lore suggests it’s for Welsh speakers only, but as a fellow Celt they tolerated me and we had good chat about minority languages. I wish I was there now to be honest.

Nice, friendly place to go for a few drinks including lovely local real ales at reasonable prices. Well worth the walk up the hill.

This is the best pub in upper Bangor, hands down. Small and intimate, great set of regulars, nice staff, great pool and darts area. Good for watching the football/rugby. Toilets need a bit of work, but otherwise top marks.
