I have had a new garage door fitted by 2 very nice gentlemen. The senior fitter did not leave until he was sure I was able to open and close the door. All the staff I have had contact with from the people on the phone, Internet, the person who took the measurements and the fitters were so professional. Several people have commented on how lovely it looks. The service from beginning to end has been superb. Thank you all so much.P Harding

I would very highly recommend The Garage Door Company. The initial visit was prompt and the variety of doors available wide ranging. Contact was maintained throughout the lead up to delivery of the chosen door and the actual installation was very compently carried out by friendly and personable fitters, who were a pleasure to have at the house.Couldn't really fault the service or the product and I am absolutely delighted with the new door. Just had 2 garage doors fitted, 1 bespoke, and am thrilled! Great service despite a wait for doors to be manufactured. Lee who came to take our order was very attentive, polite and patient! Mark and Archie who fitted the doors were excellent too - worked hard to fit the doors, consulted us on each step and tidied up after. Although our buildings were difficult to fit to they managed to get us looking really smart and we are very pleased with the result. Will definately use Plymouth Garage Door Company again!

Replaced my 50 year old, very large and broken for years, aluminium door with a brilliant compact insulated roller door. Why didn’t I do it years ago, I don’t know? From the initial phone call to Jo-Anne, an excellent survey, explanations of all my questions and very competitive, no haggle, price from Lee, with quick ordering, easy interest free financing and a super efficient, quick, very neat and excellent installation team, it was all just so easy. I would recommend this company to everyone who is contemplating replacing their garage door, superb from start to finish.

The installation of my two garage doors was second to none.These Fitters previously installed my sons garage doors this work was carried out to his exacting standards, so this is why I went to the Garage Door Company.These same Installation Fitters were meticulous in their work and nothing was too much trouble. The doors are great but the installation was perfect - well done to everyone from the Surveyors to the Sales Team, everyone played their part in this successful outcome.

My old garage door was causing concern, - it was fitted about 9 years ago by the now defunct and disgraced Essati company. I contacted The GDC in Plymouth, (Jo-anne) and was dealt with promptly and within two days the surveyor, Toby Evershed, visited my site. I was very happy with both Jo-anne and Toby and went ahead with an order for a new electric roller door. I was given a 5 week order window, and 5 weeks to the day, the engineers, Liam and Linden arrived - removed the old door and fitted the new one. These two lads were brilliant !!I am totally happy with the product, from start to finish everything was done well, and I am very pleased to recommend The Garage Door Company to anyone considering needing a similar product.Well done to all the Plymouth team.

I had a garage door installed by The Garage Door Company earlier this month. Surveyor came out in November to measure up, talk about door styles and colours etc. I made it very clear that I wanted an automated door and the surveyor, my builder and I only ever spoke about fitting an automated door when he was there. I received a quote a few days later. I obtained another quote from another large nationwide garage door provider a short while later which was actually about £150 cheaper. On the same day I got this second quote The Garage Door Company sent me a message about their Black Friday deal – basically they were offering free installation. This made The Garage Door Company quote slightly cheaper than the other company and I preferred the colour of the door they offered too, so I went ahead and ordered the door.I early January I was contacted to say the door hadn’t arrived on time and so the installation date would have to be put back. A few days later The Garage Door Company contacted me to say the door had now arrived and installation was arranged. On the day of installation I got a phone call from a lady at The Garage Door Company saying that my builder had told the fitters on site that the door was meant to be automated but that I had only ordered and paid for a manual door! I said there must be some mistake – I had made it very clear that I wanted an automated door and we had only every talked about fitting an automated door when the surveyor came around. The lady on the phone said she had checked the invoice and I had only paid for a manual door. I checked the quote I had and it listed the door, a single installation roller and two utility boards – no mention of it being a manual or automated door but as I say, I only ever spoke about having an automated door.I was told I would have to pay another £250 immediately to have an automated motor fitted to the door. With my builder wanting to finish the project and an electrician on site needing the door fitted so the garage was watertight and he could finish his work I couldn’t really afford to cancel this order and wait another couple of months for another door to turn up, so I paid the extra £250.The other issue I had is that the gap left at the top of the door opening after the door was fitted was huge due to the position of the roller shutter in relation to the opening. In fairness the surveyor did point out that this could be an issue but said that the trim pieces (for which I paid £161 plus vat) would cover the gap. The fitters on site tried their best to cover the gap with the trim but because of the way the door rolls up when it opens quite a large gap was left which looked awful. As such my builder had to design and make something else to cover the gap at the top of the door.So, overall I found the company easy and friendly to deal with. The door is nice, well fitted and works well but I had to pay another £250 that I wasn’t expecting (which means the other company would have been cheaper) and I had to get my own builder to finish the gap at the top of the door at further expense.

These guys were brilliant. Very professional from start to finish. I was really impressed with the company whenever I phoned them and the surveyor who called at my home to help with my decision making. The two fitters were great and really friendly they even had to sign for a parcel for me when. Couldn’t get to the door. I don’t normally give feedback but this just goes to show how happy I was with The Garage Door Company. Please don’t hesitate to use them .

I'm well pleased with my new garage door.A huge improvement over the piece of junk I had before.So many thanks to this company.That includes Toby the surveyor who made two site visits despite the omicron virus raging across the country. And Jo the manager for sticking to the price quote and delivering on time despite supply problems and price inflation .And finally to the two fitters, who did an effective and tidy installation job. They also took the old door and attachments away for environmental disposal.5 stars all round.
