We booked the Isle of Lewis historical tour and ended up having the tour all to ourselves with Hugh’s associate, Gordon. It was the best day and we had zero regrets about booking the tour. Hugh gave us clear directions about where to meet them and we were able to pay for the tour day of via card or cash. Gordon was very kind and taught us so much about the Isle and was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited. He also answered our random questions about life on the Isle, their currency system, and suggested places to eat in town. We did not feel rushed at any of the sites we visited, as we were able to walk around and enjoy them. I desperately wanted to visit a beach and Gordon was happy to make that happen even though it wasn’t really part of the tour. The tour spots highlighted the history of the Isle and this tour more than worth the fee. We will be fondly thinking back on this tour for a long time.
