Went for the miami to ibiza menu. Was amazing. Fell like I've been on a food tour round the world. Matching wines were lovely too. Would deffo go again. So much so I'm already booked up.

It is quite a small establishment catering for up to 24-30 guests on total. Nice looking venue but needs a mini sparkle as a bit tired looking in places, and the drinks list on our table was needing replaced as it and the the pages very stained. That's where the negativity ends. Six course nicely presented and staff, who were friendly and knowledgeable, described each dish. The portions look small but I came away after 2 hours feeling full and totally satisfied. The desert was delicious and probably my favourite dish, but each one complimented the other perfectly. This was my birthday treat and I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely go back.

We tried the tasting menu A world of imagination £25. The service was not so friendly, the food was kinda normal and plain. Not so bad but I dont have the intend to go back.

Took my partner for dinner and had the full 6 courses and the wines to match. The waiters were lovely and described the dishes for us which helped! Everything was so good I cried.

Went here for the guilt pleasures menu. All the food was of high quality. Service was quick and efficient. Would recommend. Never tried the wine pairing but have been this is good too. Located a bit away from the main area of Shawlands/Strathbungo but walking distance and also parking available.

I introduced my parents to Six By Nico for a special occasion and they absolutely loved it. We will 100% be back. It was such a nice way to make a good memory and this will now be our go to restaurant when we have anything to celebrate. The restaurant itself is intimate, beautifully clean and in one of the best pockets of the Southside. Our host Ryan could not have been lovelier, he was chatting away about Arran to my Mum and was so attentive the entire time, walking them through all the dishes. Thank you to the Chef for making such incredible food and for a lovely day!

Well a generous 2 stars. I don't like leaving negative reviews but here we go.Was there on a Saturday at 12:00 for a lunchtime birthday treat for my wife. She has been to Six by Nico in Finneston a few times and raved about it. There were three other tables in so not exactly busy.First of all I have seen cleaner tables in The Toby Jug. It just felt dirty and there was rings of candle wax on the table. We ordered the Sourdough Bread snack. It took 20 minutes to arrive for two slices of bread and some butter. Was nice enough but we didn't get any plates to use to eat it.It took almost 40 minutes for the first course to arrive. The Steamed Bun was probably the course with the most flavour but as the bun was sitting in a pool of broth it just disintegrated on the bottom half.Next up was the Samosa. The Samosa filling just didn't really taste of anythingThe Kebab was nice and soft, but it was such a tiny bit of lamb. We couldn't see the Pickled Golden Raisins and when we asked apparently they are in the Garlic Foam. Well I couldn't see any. Also what made it a Kebab? That is was on a wee silver stick? I'd assume you would need some sort of flat bread to make it a Kebab. The Taco was ok, again just very small. For the Satay it was pretty lukewarm when it was served. My wife had ordered the King Prawn add-on which took 4 minutes to arrive. By then her Satay was basically cold as they plates were cold. When she commented on it to the waiter he mumbled sorry, do you want a coffee?Last was the Coffee pudding. That was actually very nice. For drinks my wife ordered a wine which came in a glass with lipstick on it. The water was practically warm so not stored in a fridge. My Diet Coke was warm too. What was really annoying was the time to took to get our food. There was at least 15 minutes between each course and as I said the first one took almost forty minutes to arrive. Fine if the place had been busy but it was pretty dead.In all very disappointed with our visit. Won't be back.

The food was tasty, the waiters knew their stuff, (one of them said it was his second day but he was rattling off all the meal facts like a pro!) all three of them were friendly guys. My +1 was from Manchester and kept going on about how much better it was in the Southside than the Manchester version she'd had a fortnight before. I'll definitely be taking her back next time she's up!

Had been really looking forward to trying Six by Nico. My verdict, it was ok. The food was mostly nice. The portions not very big I felt like I wanted to go and eat another meal shortly after it. We felt really really rushed. There was absolutely no time at all in between dishes and sometimes you hadn’t even finished the previous wine before another was brought with another dish. As a slow eater I really enjoy taking in a meal and enjoying it with a few breaks to process it and go back to eating. This really wasn’t possible here. The fish options we didn’t barley touch because it was very fishy and just not our personal preference but the others were fine. The waitress did ask if everything was ok because she noticed we didn’t touch it, but when we explained, there was no offer to swap over for something else or more of some of the other dishes we did like. I wouldn’t be desperate to rush back and felt quite sad and underwhelmed by the experience. The staff were nice and explained the dishes in full just very fast paced. Decor was nice too but overall, an alright experience.
