Plenty of selection of foodstuff not available elsewhere in Chelmsford

One of the few asian groceries in Chelmsford and I was quite excited about the fresh fish / meat. Some positives:- Fresh veg- Ideal location if walking home from station- Fresh fish / meat.- Clean and bright.The biggest problem for me is the price. Grossly over priced stuff here.... I was never a big fan of Mathas due to the price and general quality of veg there but the prices here makes Mathas look very reasonable...Giving few examples:Narasu's coffee 500g -> Joe's £9.99 Mathas £5.49KTC Butter Ghee 1KG -> Joe's £13.99 Mathas: £12.99Just random 2 things i selected..I will not be recommending this shop till they get their pricing right.

Has got no issue with the shop as it does reminds of home town with food but the only issue is the cashiers the response that I got from him made me feel like I was buying the products with his money.

It's one of the rudest places I shopped. The person taking payment was on the phone throughout scanning the items and throwing items onto the table. He was expecting me to pack. No manners of thanking customers. Shocking behaviour.... I didn't think he knew, how to serve customers.

Called in for some spices and pastes for making curry at home, had everything I needed and helped to find the right ingredients. Also cyclist friendly too! Looking forward to my next shop of curry ingredients!

The grocery indeed has everything and I was always welcomed by good people but after todays experience I guess it would be good if I leave a review so that other customers don't fall for it.I had placed a delivery order and after giving them my house number / post code they said they would deliver the goods. One of their delivery guys called me and asked me to come till the road downstairs. I told him this is supposed to be a delivery why are you calling me downstairs when I stay on a different floor. The guy says we only do delivery till the door step and that is exactly what I asking the delivery guy the my door step. The guy said I would leave if you are not coming down in a threating voice and I told him yes you can do and please ensure to refund the money back.I am then told by the shop keeper that I have mis-behaved with the driver when all I asked him to come till my door. Then I am convinced by the shop keeper that how do you expect one person to hold so much and come till your door. Well in my opinion I shouldn't be worried how this is done as I have been charged for delivery.Then I am also been told that they normally only do the delivery of GBP 35 excluding rice and flour so I should be thankful. Well I was charged for this so I am not sure what was the meaning behind that.They have refunded the money deducting the delivery charges as according to them they attempted to delivery and I refused to take it. YES I REFUSED TO TAKE FROM THE KERB and would only accept it at my door. Please don't promise customers you can delivery when you literally cant and waste time and charge unreasonable money. Its about the customer service. Which you failed to provide.

Excellent place to be in for all our Indian groceries & the best part is they got Fresh Fish stock weekly twice. The owner is a very good man & all the staff are friendly. Cheers guys

As the name says, this is now my first choice for all Indian groceries especially Kerala items. I have been a regular customer for more than a year now and I am happy with the items and the delivery service. Their delivery service was really a life saver for me especially during the lock down time when we were not doing much travelling. I still make use of their delivery service. Owner and the other staff are very friendly too.

Good stock of south and north Indian grocery.Parking available.Friendly customer service.

Never recommend this shop, expired product!Not fresh fish and also they charge 2£ for cleaning fish.
