The New Plough
The New Plough is literally on my doorstep and although I don't go out often it's always my first choice for a night out. The atmosphere is great, the punters are all enjoying themselves and are a really good mix of young to old, the decor is fab, the landlord (who bought the building a year or so ago and totally refurbed the whole place to a very high standard - check out the ladies loos while you are there) is a top bloke, the drinks are a good price, the bar staff are friendly, helpful and know what they are doing and there are bouncers on the doors, weekend nights, and I always feel safe in there. Pop in and try a Corona Sunrise!

After visiting Onestop we was stood outside this pub waiting for friends so we can walk home together like we have done for 30+ years. Very rude ginger bouncer demanded us on to the road because the public walk way at the side of the pub and the public footpath belonged to the Plough Inn. We had no intentions of entering the pub what so ever. Bouncer needs a lesson in manners, people skills and minding his own business.

Brilliant independent local pub/restaurant!Had breakfast (they call it brunch) here on Christmas eve and it wasn't busy at all.Lots of choice and they cater for vegetarians/vegans and other dietary requirements.Breakfast was excellent and you could tell that most of it was homemade or from local ingredients. Their baked beans seemed to be homemade and they were great!Prices were relatively high. £10 per person for a breakfast meal and hot drink.They accept contactless cards/mobile payments here. Staff were helpful and helped to choose our food.Brilliant tea choice here including a loose leaf option. They use a brewing cup which you put on top of your mug to pour the tea (like a T2 tea maker).Highly recommended for anyone looking for a meal at any time of day - - it's much better than the chain options and great to support local businesses.
