Lochandubh Kennels

My Springer has recently had three visits to Lochandubh, one visit was due to a family bereavement and Fiona was extremely helpful and accommodating at a very difficult time. I cannot fault her professionalism, empathy, and care and would not hesitate to use the kennels again. My much loved dog was very well taken care of and I highly recommend Lochandubh Kennels. The best kennels I've been to. Immaculate, happy dogs, confident and committed owner, lovely surroundings, relaxed atmosphere.

My various pet and working dogs have been kenneled, trained and groomed for many years at Lochandubh kennels. I have had sound advice from Fiona and her staff as regards any wee problems that may have arisen with my dogs' health or behaviour. (The problem usually lay with me, and not the dog!) I cannot praise the staff or premises highly enough. 5 star accommodation and 5 star care.

I have been using Fiona's kennels for 20 years. Three of my dogs have stayed with her during that time, beginning with one very timid 'rescue' spaniel, and quickly became the only kennels at which I felt happy leaving my dogs. Not only is the accommodation outstanding - especially when compared to the other kennels I've occasionally used in England - but I am 100% confident that my dogs are safe and secure when they are staying there. Unlike other kennels where young and inexperienced part-time staff are often used to walk the dogs and manage the bookings, at Lochandubh Fiona is rarely far away and any staff she does employ are well-trained, responsible and carefully supervised. Fiona is also careful about which dogs she walks together and follows important safety procedures to ensure that no dogs can ever escape or attack one another when they are walked. Again, this is in marked contrast with many other kennels which now seem to favour exercising dogs together in an outdoor pen. While this might initially look like fun for your dog, it is full of risk since less dominant dogs risk getting picked on, and viruses can spread quickly. Qwners need to be aware that the top priority for any kennel should be to keep you dog safe, secure and healthy for the short time you are away and this is what you can be sure of at Lochandubh.

Just the most amazing kennels! Wonderful location and stunnng and Fiona and her husband are caring, understanding and capable. They were really flexible when we had to change arrangements and our 12 year old Jack Russell who had never been to kennels before went happily and returned happily.

Regular users of Fionas excellent service. Our collie x adores her and the staff showing me she receives care and attention on her visits. Recently left her 17 nights which was hard for me but returned to a healthy happy pooch. 5 stars and thanks to Fiona and her small team.

Can’t praise Fiona and Anna-May enough. My dog loves it here and always gets so excited when we drop him off.Makes it such an easy process for us when we have to leave him.They respond very quickly whenever I need to make a booking even when I’m last minute!It’s clear that they are very caring and passionate about what they do. Highly recommend!

What can I say? Fiona really went above and beyond looking after our very old and decrepit Ridgeback. Fiona invited us to see the kennels and meet to discuss doggie issues in advance. She kept us updated regularly whilst we were away and took the best care possible of our old hound. This was so much more than a 'professional' service. Fiona really cares about the animals in her charge. I can't think of anyone else I would entrust our old hound to. Thank you.
