The Boat & Anchor Inn
Beautiful location along Bridgwater Canal, a little hairy to get to, as it's over a rickety wooden bridge! The pub was almost empty when we went, which is a shame as the food is lovely. All cooked fresh and plenty of it. We all had the roast dinner. It was really nice. No room for dessert!

Lovely setting, lovely staff, food was awful, undercooked and cold. The place could do with updating looks very run down.

Funny little place off the M5, million times better than the service station. Good pool table, nice cup of tea, little walk up the canal path enjoyable

Met friends for there for lunch. Not been there since before covid, used to be a great place for food etc, sadly not now, got about 8 things to choose from the board to eat, looks run down n in need of decorating. Had ham egg n chips, the chips were like the bottom of a takeaway bag of chips, just tiny little bits, ham from a packet. Hopefully the family running it are new n it will all get sorted. Not for us!

Called in with a group of 30 people. There was excellent service at the bar. The food was delicious. Most had a roast. I had a ploughman's lunch. It was a huge ploughman's. I will definitely stop there again. Highly recommended.

Stopped off as traffic on M5 and we were hungry, must say very happy we did. Food was delicious! Homemade battered fish especially made for my allergy child taking great care of his needs. Homemade chips were sooo good too. Hubby & I both had steak and both cooked exactly as we asked. Staff were tentative, couldn't have asked for better. Fantastic meal all round! Will definitely visit again.

First time visit for Sunday lunch. Its under new management and so don't know if now better or worse. But very warm welcome from landlord and landlady, really lovely. And also very helpful over dietary requirements for a vegan meal. They have just added a vegetable tart to the menu so we tried that. Really delicious and served with lovely crispy roasties and plenty of veg and gravy! Sat in the large conservatory by the canal and they are dog friendly too so we could take our pooch. The place was quiet, which I think is a shame as it has a lot to offer. I hope they do well and manage to build the business up.
