Warm space with great company. My friend and I parked here for a wet day on our hike and met lots of other hikers. Everyone was friendly and we had a good time chatting while everyone cooked supper. A few people brought coal or wood for the fire so we were plenty warm. There are lots of hooks on the walls and a line to hang up wet clothes; my pants dried overnight but my socks and boots refused. We fit 4 people that night, but my friend says she's slept there with 9!The privy was in good condition - no complaints!

Nice bothy aslong as you don't mind sharing it with coke heads who want to prove there a changed person or there also the outdoors type and not just a coke fiend on Facebook who buy all the gear but have no idea! (plastic climber's)

Camped as the bothy was officially closed due to covid-19. Great location amongst 3 of the highest mountains in the UK. Weather was good which meant there was a strong breeze in the afternoon to keep the midges away. Was cold overnight even at the start of July. Bothy itself is quite small, so liable to be overcrowded at busy times, but the camping is good.

'twas the week before Christmas when I headed out to the Linn of Dee to venture up Cairn Toul, Sgor an Lochain Uaine & The Devils Point. A silly'oclock" start from Edinburgh got me to the car park for about 6.30am. Pitch Black 2 degrees below and freezing fog glazing every rock and stone. Cycled in the first 5.6km to Derry Lodge

Talk about a port in a storm. Visited late December 2020, a few days before the record low temperature of -20 something in Braemar. We underestimated nature and were soon caught in waist high snow drifts for what seemed like miles. Luckily we found the bothy in almost whiteout conditions just before sunset. Warm, dry and a variety of leftover foam sleeping matts. We hiked in with some wood and fuel, the chimney isn't excellent but we are so grateful for places like this.

Great spot, visited on a loop of the Cairngorms. We where going to stay the night but due to getting there around lunchtime we decided to carry on and camp up further around our route. The bothy itself is very spacious with a wood burner and a bed deck. It is mostly timber clad in side. Great place to hide away from the elements.

A well looked after and cared for bothy. The bothy has room for about 2 on the sleeping bench plus space for about five on the floor (I've seen it with more!). Recently they have been trialling a composting toilet and this has significantly improved the quality of the space around the bothy. I would recommend always taking a tent to Corrour as the bothy is often very busy in the summer and so there is not always space for everyone. There are some good camping spots around the bothy, although beware as some of them get very boggy when it rains!
