The Mexico Inn
Really nice place to eat. The staff were really friendly and helped us with our elderly grandmother. There is plenty of room inside and outside to sit. Crab risotto was fantastic, as was the chicken breast main although quite small for a main meal, Pizzas were big and very tasty and the desserts were great. The only downside is there is no parking as the back is now an outside space with wood fired oven.

So impressed with this place! Went twice during my stay in Penzance, as it was so great. Delicious food and great service. The waitress with the brown pixie cut was particularly fantastic. Looking forward to coming back again!

Great little find situated half way between Marazion and Penzance. If you are staying in Marazion especially it's only about a 20 minute walk and we'll worth a visit.Food is great with a nice menu and there is a good selection of drinks to boot.Staff were really friendly and helpful too

Solid laid back pub in Penzance. Diverse yet not overwhelming food menu and good drinks and selection of beers on tap.Staff was very courteous and helpful, had the cawliflower fritters and the grilled john dory fillets and they were both outstanding.Solid for a first, laid back date or when you want to have a good yet not fussy meal.

Enjoyed our previous dinner here but Sunday Lunch was very disappointing, not really a roast the choice was brisket beef which was slow cooked but somehow dry or, belly pork - one of the worst I have tasted . The quality of meat was not good but the pork was not cooked properly at all , lots of fat and which had not rendered down , not a lot of meat - not a good flavour . Shortcut veg ie puréed carrot and swede , creamed leeks, red cabbage, roast potato’s , savoy all swimming in very thin tasteless gravy ( give the customer a choice and put it in a gravy jug ) . Friendly service in a lovely old pub but …

Wow.. just wow.. the food was incredible.. the featherblade beef was just exquisite. Kudos to the chef and team in the kitchen. The beef strips in the Miso starter were perfection, beautifully crisp, and still so tender and juicy. It's just magnificent. I have only.one suggestion and it come purely down to preference on texture, crushed peanuts in the Miso would have been more satisfying from a texture point of view than whole peanuts, but there really is nothing to complain about. The ale burger, which I tried some of my partners, was just wonderful, I've never tasted a better burger. It was just pure joy to taste, well balanced with the other fillings and just marvellous. We had a fabulous evening taking part in the quiz and winning. The atmosphere was jovial and nostalgic of days passed when people used to commune in their local. Decor is simple and warming and homely, but honestly, this review is more about the food and my happy tummy dance. Just blooming wonderful, truly.

Have just had the lamb roast dinner and can honestly say it was one of the nicest roast's I've ever had! Beautifully cooked food to perfection, even the mint sauce and horseradish were made fresh. Lovely decor and would throughly recommend

I walked into the empty pub, was seated directly under the bar, had the bookings booth right behind me, which wasn't very comfortable. The food was ok, however I expected pasta as described yet got rice. The atmosphere was pleassent no complaints there.

Booked last minute on Sunday evening and was very taken with the Mexico Inn the minute we walked in - lovely decor and friendly staff. The roast was fantastic and arrived very quickly and the gooseberry parfait for pudding was such a nice change from the usual pudding offerings; we loved it! 4 stars for atmosphere just because where we sat was a little cold and draughty but once we were eating we warmed up. We only booked an hour or so before arriving so v happy to have been accommodated at all. We would most definitely go back.
