Our party of six stayed here and loved it. The rooms are large with really nice bathrooms and The beds were comfy. Our breakfast was also very good.The best part was the fireplace room. We used it two nights and loved it.Recommendations for the hotel: there was a mild mildew smell in the bedroom (hey it’s always wet on Skye) and stock the fireplace with more wood.

This place was fantastic. Our bedroom was huge, super clean, comfortable, and had several power sockets. The shower was large and easy to use. The staff were super nice and breakfast was delicious. Views were amazing, even in bad weather. The one thing to improve was sound insulation: we could hear the guests walking in the bedroom above ours.

Excellent bed and breakfast. Staff was super friendly and the room was very clean. The breakfast in the morning was a real surprise, you could pick your favorite from a menu and breakfast was freshly cooked.The one downside is that the rooms are not really well isolated in terms of noise. We had Spanish neighbour's upstairs with (very busy) kids. Their steps could be heard quite well in the morning unfortunately.

Excellent guest house with great scenery. Room was excellent and modern. Breakfast in the morning was amazing. Fruit bowl waiting for you while you order with coffee and apple juice on the way. Definitely coming back

I have stayed at Balmacara Mains twice for business trips. The location is fantastic and a short drive from Kyle and the Skye Bridge.The Rooms are a great size, bathroom excellent with a great shower. Beds are really comfortable with the best pillows I have ever slept on!The staff are super friendly and helpful.Really enjoyed my stays here and will definitely use this again when on business in the area.Highly recommended.

The view was the most fantastic view I've ever seen. It's right on the sea, with a perfect view of the island mountains across water. The people here are the sweetest, they were so helpful with giving us recommendations on where to go and what to see. Our room was a good size and they automatically offered to leave a cot for us since we had 3 staying in our double room. Breakfast in the morning is delicious, and they provide so much food. I couldn't imagine staying in a more perfect place when visiting Skye.

Elderly house of some of my best friends. Magnificent views, extremely quiet, fantastic walks in a beautiful park at 20 meters! Very personal service by owner Dougie and host Jenny. Small number of rooms.

We spend three nights at this beautifil b&b and it were some of the nicest of the whole trip. The room we were in was spotlessly clean had a nice bathroom and very nice and comfortable beds. The breakfast was very good and the hostess very friendly. Arguably the best thing was the beautiful view of the Loch and the extremely quiet sourroundings. It's a great spot to visit the Isle of Skye. Can also highly recommend the Appletown Scenic Route. A lovely drive along the coast with breathtaking views. Definately will be back!

Lovely little B&B nestled in the woods. We had beautiful, serene views of the loch from our room. Great hot breakfast options. Wish I would have had time to do the woodland walk behind the hotel.
