Wouldn't even give 1 star! My husband rang up to book this pub for 2 hours, the lass he spoke to was too thick to take a booking, so we rang back and booked it for the 10th coc, as it was my mum in laws wake after her service, got to the pub and they didnt put our name down in their book! Kept us outside so we couldn't get in! Disgraceful. Lack of communication luckily a nice pud down the road welcomed us with open arms, we spent over 500 quid in that nice pub, you missed out!!

Had my grandson's 2nd birthday party upstairs. Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean, well presented and free. Perfect venue for the party. The room was very spacious (big enough for a bouncy castle). I wouldn't hesitate to book it again. Thanks.

An old traditional building(which is listed)this pub is located in the southern part of the town Ashington.It's very spacious and has a function room which is located on the middle floor of the building,the room was free to use last I heard but that may of changed so best contact the pub directly.There are normally acts on at the pub in the function room,live bands usually at the weekend,there's a dart board,pool table and jukebox with a number of t.v screens located in the pub.This is a relaxed,friendly and very reasonably priced pub with a good atmosphere,well presented and it even has an old fashioned style snug inside.Car parking is available on site as well as two bus stops located right outside.

I hired the room. For my daughter in laws baby shower.. The staff were excellent could not do enough especially Robyn who helped us unpack the car and carry things upstairs... very clean room very good for any occasion.. had a fantastic day Thank you
