I think it is a total waste of money to deal with this firm, unfortunately. Our purchase has not been completed, no completion date was set as the vendor could not break the property chain, however, addition to the solicitor fee, they charge you for different other costs (which are mainly administrative in nature) under the label of preparatory work" even if there are absolutely no results (it's in their terms of services that they are entitled to charge you for all their incurring cost up to the point when the purchase fails). We are not satisfied with the overall work of Nicole (our solicitor at this firm)We do not feel that she represented our interests effectively

Not helpful in a property discharge at all. Enquiry by phone and was she was confused of what I was requesting. A discharge of a charge on a property In land registry. Would had thought a property lawyer would know. Even had to describe the forms I was asking to have fill in

I used Simon Merchant Property Solicitors for the sale of my property and don’t feel at all as if I had the “usual experience” of dealing with solicitors. Karen was the conveyancing assistant throughout and was incredibly responsive and helpful. My buyers solicitors made the process very long and drawn out, asking 20+ questions every couple of weeks. Karen was fantastic dealing with these queries by batting back questions that had already been asked/could be checked by them rather than creating work for me and also drafted responses before forwarding the questions onto me to check and add additional responses to specific questions. This took a lot of pressure and work off of me and I really felt like I was being provided with a caring, personal and helpful service. I’d not sold a property before so had a few extra questions for Karen, these were always answered quickly by email.
