Barkingmad Dog Training

I adopted a 4 year English Setter with a very high prey drive and although I have over 30 years experience with Setters it became apparent that I would need some help with her. I had an I itial assessment with Jordan and I wanted to stop her pulling on the lead and be able to let her off. He said she needed 4 lessons ( I laughed) and gave me a quote. Each lesson is about 2hrs long so in total 8 hrs training. In each lesson Jordans explained what he wanted to achieve and how to go about achieving this. After lesson it is down to you and the dog to practise. Lessons for me were 2 weeks apart. That was eight weeks ago and today was my last lesson with Jordan. That is not to say my dog is perfect, however, she walks to heel or at the end of her lead with little or no pulling. I can let her off the lead when playing with other dogs and it is more about my confidence in her than vice versa that is holding this aspect back. In essence I need to trust her as much as she trusts me. 8 weeks ago I was wondering if I had made a mistake in getting this dog now it is a pleasure to be out and about with her. Many thanks Jordan

Thanks once again for looking after our 2 dogs William and Ollie they both had a great time. Its great to know we can leave Ollie who is quite a handful knowing he is well cared for. They are always keen to return which speaks for itself. Thanks again !!!

Contacted Jordan who came out a couple of wks later as planned to do an 'assessment ' for our puppy as we were having an issue wanted some help and advice with.He came out, he took hardly any interest in our puppy which I found really odd for someone that works with dogs?? It was like the dog wasnt even there! He said there was something be could do and it would probably take maybe one session and he would get someone to contact us with a price and date this was a few wks ago now and we have heard nothing!!To be honest I found him to be very judgemental and quite arrogant with it and that he was judging everything and had quite a rude manner and had the attitude of he knew better than you about everything not just what he had come to see you about not really giving you the client the chance to have input.So obviously quite glad he didn't contact us back because we wouldn't want to have worked with him due to these reasons, therefore wouldn't recommend.

Amazing dog behaviourist our basset hound is now the dog we wanted very well behaved walks by our side on a normal collar and lead and doesn't run off trying to molest every dog in Whitby.Keep up the good work Barkingmad.

Just a quick thankyou from the bottom of my heart for helping my samuelxxxxxx the prices were very good and the dog trainers are just out of this world, they are so paitent and kind, I would recommend anyone go here if you are having any concerns with your loved ones. My dog is so much happier all his anxieties are completely gone gone gone !!!!!. He is eating better, he sleeps back in his own bed and lots more tail wagging, all goodxxxxx

The most caring and help people you can find, I was up at the Yorkshire Coast when my husband was taken into hospital and been over 200 miles from home what do you do with two dogs, until one of the nurses told me about Jordan you couldn't find a more nicer helpfully person he had someone with in an hour go and sit with my two, feed walk them etc in the caravan , Jordan also had all paperwork done within two hours with my vet, he also kept calling 2 -3 times a day to say how the dog where if I needed anything, he even found me a B & B as I had to stay 3 extra nights.Barking Mad Dog Training even did some free training with the dogs for 10 days they was with them now my two can back first time every, thanks for all your help in my hour of need.

Contacted Barking Mad for some one to one training, but didn’t get any.Had a consultation that lasted about 10 minutes and never heard anything after that.I was hoping from the reviews we would get the help with our puppy that I asked for.

We didn't want our lurcher dog to go into kennels as she was a rescue dog and we felt that she wouldn't receive the love and exercise she needed. We found Barking Mad" on the internet

Helpful people got them in to stop my German Shepherd jumping up at people, but found them to be of most help Jordan the trainer we had, told us to put Bella to work to help me as I am disabled and need a wheelchair.Any way Jordan did stop Bella jumping up just as we asked for in about 2 weeks, but also did so free training with Bella to teach her to pick things up for me, empty a washing machine or put things in it, go and get her food dish, open doors and other things.We will be booking more training with Jordan, the only thing we were not happy with was the waiting list but I have to say, it what you have to do if you want anyone who’s any good at their Job like Jordan.

We had our first day of training with Jack yesterday. Jack is 7 year old rescue border collie and has issues with other dogs. Already after one day of homework we have seen an improvement on his walks. Best walk day we have had yet.
