The Elms Dog Training

We had 3 sessions with Tracey. She was excellent. She trained us and that allowed us to train our dog. Our puppy is not perfect but because of the training and support we have we are never stuck. I would highly recommend her to anyone with a puppy!

We had 1:1 training session for our adolescent dog, having found group sessions didn't tailor the strategies we needed to focus the most on. Tracey was incredibly supportive, really getting to understand both ours and our dogs need on the initial telephone consultation, and then personalising the session once she had observed us working with him. She is thorough in providing advice and supporting resources which has helped us retain the information given and we are already seeing some positive results in a short space of time.

I only have positive things to say about Tracey. In just four sessions she has enabled us to understand our whippet and help him through situations he finds tricky - larger dogs and visitors to the house. The training felt completely tailored to our needs and through a series of (simple but effective) tools and exercises, dog walks have turned from being a bit stressful to a pleasure.Tracey is clearly passionate about dogs and providing robust training to help us humans support them in the best way we can. I can't believe what she was able to achieve with us in just 4 sessions. Money well spent. Thank you so much!

We have just got a 6 month old labrador and I contacted Tracey for some training, mainly for me, so I would be able to safely handle a large dog who is already 28kg. We had one session at our house and one in Tracey's training field. Both sessions were really informative and were backed up by a training plan and supporting information. I now have the tools to train our dog and know I can contact Tracey for any help in the future. We rescued our King Charles Cavalier, Duke six weeks ago, he was four at the time. Duke is a lovely dog but came with some minor behaviour issues which we wanted to address. We approached Tracey, from The Elms Dog Grooming and Training to assist us in our endeavour. From the get go she was approachable, professional and enthusiastic and Duke took to her method of training immediately and he hasn't looked back. Tracey has an amazing connection not only with Duke but also to my wife and I, she teaches by example, showing the correct training method before encouraging and where necessary correcting errors. Being very new to the world of dog training we decided professional guidance was the way forward and we are so glad we did. We have now adopted Tracey's methods and guidance and implanted them within our everyday life with Duke. As a result his walking on a lead has improved so much, no longer pulling, and his obedience and recall has improved beyond our expectations. He recognises simple commands and reacts accordingly.So, as to the question of 'value for money'. Without doubt Tracey gives value for money, her classes are filled with advice, techniques, guidance and support from minute one. Without doubt as a result of Tracey's input we have a better dog. Her enthusiasm is infectious.

We asked Tracey for help with training our two pups. We had the puppy training pack which was delivered at home. Each session covers certain key areas of training, with detailed information in written form also provided.We have found Tracey’s service so helpful. It has really had an impact on how we train the pups and on their responses to our efforts. It has really helped set us all on the right track and I am sure we have avoided pitfalls and problems as a consequence of Tracey’s support and guidance. Tracey’s calm clear and supportive approach is great and helped build our confidence week by week.We are SO pleased we used Tracey to set us on the right path. I also really appreciated that she is there if we need advice and support in the future.I can’t recommend Tracey highly enough!!

Tracey's knowledge, passion, patience and expertise is amazing. We couldn't have wished for better training and support as new puppy owners. We have learnt as much as Bow has and although it's been full on, we have been so impressed with the results. Tracey's is extremely generous with her time and information and the additional training plan for Bow, instructions and continual support has enabled us to build a happy and positive relationship with our puppy. I contacted Tracey to ask for help and advice with our new little Portuguese rescue dog Ziggy. Tracey sent me some really useful information and I then had a training session with her which was brilliant! In particular I wanted to practice recall and to work on Ziggy's slight reactivity with some other dogs. Tracey demonstrated a number of techniques that instantly seemed to work and make sense. She gave clear explanations and plenty of opportunity to practice. I thoroughly enjoyed the session and Ziggy obviously did too! I feel much more confident now that we have some good tools to address Ziggy's reactivity and to strengthen his recall. We are already getting signs of early success. We've just finished a great few sessions with Tracey helping us with all things puppy! The pre-puppy session was brilliant for asking loads of questions, and doubtless got us off to a great start. Tracey's knowledge, patience and enthusiasm is brilliant. It was lovely to do the training as a family, Tracey was really calm and patient with all the questions we had! Would definitely recommend.
