Mud Island Garden Centre

Excellent garden centre. Not a huge one but has plenty of stock. They also do a Halloween and Christmas section which is very cool.

Very; very well cared for plants and such reasonable prices. Cute little indoor section too, highly recommended! Also really lovely staff who were so friendly and kind to my 3 year old. I didn't catch the name of the young man in the hat who told us a story about baby spiders but he is an absolute credit to the company and made a real impression. Will visit again!

Very very disappointed.. as very keen amatuer gardeners that have given it ago for 5 years now and truly love it.. We have heard so many positive things about this place we went.. Oh dear what a disappointment.. No coffee shop which in the garden centre sector is a staple.. The place is immaculately turned out and extremely manacured... Its just lacking the thing that makes it special.. We use Stanstead very often and that's a whole league above.. Granted it's a stately home but not to have basic coffee shop/eatery is a big mistake, we where told it was because the upkeep or maintenance was a problem..If you go to a chain garden centre you will have a better experience.. Pretty disappointing...

My 1st visit, lovely garden centre, lots of varied plants and bedding plants, lots of gift ideas in the shop as well, very kind and helpful staff will definitely be returning

We have visited Mud Island several times a year for a few years now. We love the Halloween shop and some of the Christmas decorations. Husband won't buy his tree from anywhere else. Always a good stock level throughout the year, and staff are usually very knowledgeable and happy to help a plant muggle while the husband looks on at me aghast at such a simple question he refused to answer!Not easiest to access in a wheelchair I imagine - shingle car park, slopes around but narrow aisles inside...

Lovely quality plants and garden ornaments at a competitive price. I will be visiting again.

A fabulous garden centre with plenty of choice of plants during every season. Great gift shop with lots of quirky things, toys and bath bombs. Indoor plants and cacti are available too. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. It's a regular place that we visit.
