Arrowsmith French Polishing and Kitchen Fitting

We have recently had our Barker and Stonehouse dining chairs re-glued. One of them in particular was very unstable and we hadn’t been able to use it in case it became irreparable. We rang Mark, who came to assess them and took them away the same night. They were all taken apart, the joints stripped of the old glue and finally re-glued - returning them within a week. They have done a fantastic job and I am sure they will last another ten years. The customer service has been excellent from start to finish and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

I had a 20 year old pine wardrobe set that I wanted to bring up to date as it had gone a bit orangey and didn't match my new room. Mark has done an amazing job! I chose F&B Ammonite as a neutral colour as the set now needed to squeeze into a small third bedroom rather than a large guest room where it lived in my previous house. The colour and finish are fantastic, I love the way the light catches the paint and it subtly changes hue. It's a beautiful job, Mark went the extra mile and the attention to detail is much appreciated. I would highly recommend and knowing I've shopped locally, supported a local family business as well as get a brilliant result is a total win-win.

What a lovely Company they have rescued our beloved mahogany dining table twice now when damaged. They call when they say they will and tell you the time they will deliver back. Reliable,reasonable and very friendly . They even take their shoes off and put a cover on the cream carpet, not many people do that these days. Excellent.

Mark restored a bureau for us recently. Did an amazing job bringing a family piece of furniture back to life. Would highly recommend. He’s also restored a blanket box for me in the past which still has pride of place in our bedroom.

Purchased a oak Corner Cabinet recently, the item is amazing, completely polished, Mark even made a key for the lock. An item which I had for a number of years, but could not use was also taken in part exchange, which was an added bonus, this may give other potential customers an incentive. Bought a wardrobe & dressing table. Both beautifully restored and a very good price (satin walnut, sold wood, solid workmanship & still cheaper than IKEA!). Mark is a fantastic bloke, cannot recommend more highly.

Mark has upcycled our bedroom pine furniture to fully restore and paint to look like new. We were so pleased we had a second bedroom done and very happy with the results. Would highly recommend Mark for this type of work.

Mark and his team have done some French polishing for us and renovated our kitchen with a respray. The attention to detail is fantastic, they take their time but get it right! Very very happy with all the work done and highly recommend.

Jan 2021Great professional service - Would highly recommend .We had our dining table restored to 'like new' after the surface lacquer/ varnish had crazed and a water mark was removed. Also needed an adjustment to the doors of our sideboard as it was catching on the drawers.Both items collected and returned in less than a week.
