I have been working with Sue over a period of time with my Cocker Spainel. He was a rescue and had a few issues. But with her help knowledge and patience it gave me both the confidence and the tools to go forward with his training. I can’t thank you enough Sue.I would recommended Sue to anyone in need of any behavioural or just basic training ,she’s just fantastic and so committed to getting the results by fair and kind methods of training.Once again thank you Sue.

We have a nervous rescue collie who was frightened of many sounds etc and very difficult to control. Sue convinced us she had had experience with similar collies and could sort her problems.. We paid upfront for a very expensive 6 session course.. By the end there was no improvement and as we were going to be away for 2 weeks Sue persuaded us that if she had her for the 2 weeks intensive training she could make her easy to walk and recall. We were desperate by then as we didn't want to have to get rid of the dog who we dearly loved so having been convinced that Sue could change her we agreed to a sum well over that charged by most trainers. At the end of this the dog was no better at all and we are a great deal poorer.

Highly recommend Sue Kewley's Practice. We are currently on the Happy Shepherd owner training programme.Having met and worked with multiple dog trainers and behaviourists over the years, Sue provided a different, enlightening experience. She has offered me an alternative way of thinking, a much kinder and understanding one. By better understanding my dog, I have been able to solve multiple problems with my GSD with the help of a multitude of broken down, simple, yet effective, exercises that Sue provided. The exercises were also videod to help us remember them and practice at home, along with a plethora of virtual advice and information.Sue is very knowledgable, understanding, supportive and personable. I am actually dreading the day our training programme ends as Sue has been a life saver!

This is koda, my 20 month gsd. Koda become reactive to people at 8 months old and i tried and tried for months to help him. Watching training videos, Being let down by trainers and being given the wrong advice. It was a hard time for both of us. I had gotten in such a state a few times where i thought i would have to give my boy up. But in January I found our life saver!Sue has been incredible! she started me of with some basic training games before we had our first 1:1 this alone improved his focus on me. With only 4 sessions in I am amazed at how much calmer, happier and well behaved he is. I can now stand and have a conversation with someone in the streets without him trying to attack them. He is still nervous but has learnt to think and stay focused on me instead of react.I thought and was lead to believe that he was just aggressive as that's all you can see when a dog is barking and lunging at you, but she has made me see that he is actually just a scared nervous pup who doesn't understand so needs a little guidance and reassurance that people aren't scary.I cant thank sue enough for helping me understand my boy and train him into an amazing happy companion. We still have a long way to go but he has come sooo so far since January and is like completely different dog.

We have had trainers before, but we really needed someone to help us with our GSD, Elva, who is dog-reactive. As we are based in Warwickshire, we had one-to-one training lessons with Sue online, with ongoing support between sessions by recording our training on video and Sue offering feedback. The tools and skills Sue has taught us have been invaluable, we have been able to understand Elva more, and our bond has deepened further. Sue was always responsive to our needs, and the dialogue was always supportive, honest, and forgiving! The online tools have proved very useful and through applying useful practical insights and implementing good practices Sue has helped develop our confidence in handling Elva. Moreover, we are seeing improvements with her reactivity, managing to pass dogs on the other side of the road (something that was impossible before!). The only way is up!

Sue has helped us with our GSD puppy from 2 months old to now 1yr. He is full of energy and literally enormous fun. She has provided us with very clear techniques to help him behave well with people and other animals. He is still learning but the patient methods she uses are paying dividends. Recommend this trainer unreservedly.

Sue, worked with us to reduce our GSD puppy's over excitement and reactivity. We were able to increase her impulse control and reduce her reactivity to people and having been taught the lead skills and strategies to move closer to dogs we have managed to start visiting the local park and start to enjoy spending time away from home. Sue offers a range of support mechanisms, traveling a distance to see us at our home to provide detailed individualised advice which we were able to access online after the visit. In between visits she also provided highly focused feedback on the videos which we shared with her as we tried to implement her advice. This was a frame by frame analysis of our timing in giving guidance and feedback to our pup which was invaluable in improving our skills. Working with a gsd requires clear, timely and consistent direction so having this professional analysis made a huge difference.

Sue Kewley is not just a dog behaviourist and trainer; she brings another level of insight and observations to her training sessions. Thanks to Sue I now have the tools to correct some of my German Shepherd, Lucy’s more challenging behaviour and a better understanding of how to interact with her. I have had other trainers and attended other classes, but Sue’s method has been the most effect

So glad we found Sue, such a calm and knowledgeable person. We have a highly excitable 2 year old terrier and were really struggling with walks and with visitors coming to the house. Sue is teaching us all strategies to manage these situations and we are seeing the results of her expert training methods. It's not a quick fix and you have to put in the effort but so rewarding to see the improvement.
