Southern car sales have been impeccable from start to finish. I part exchanged and purchased a fantastic Mercedes estate from them 3 months ago and throughout this time Tim and the team have been beyond helpful.The car is fantastic and although there have been a couple of identified faults that have needed attention - each have been dealt with promptly and effectively in repairing the car in full.I have been so impressed with their attitude and attention to myself as a customer and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new car themselves.

I bought a Mini Cooper from Southern Car Sales at the end of January, but I thought it would be better to post a review once I had properly driven it and up to my warranty period, hence why I’m posting some three months on.I cannot recommend these guys enough, Tim was great from start to finish. I popped in to view an orange mini and after a test drive I knew this was the car for me. These guys arranged finance for me all within my budget and all within 30 min.On collecting the car, it has drove great, except for a little niggle, and as soon as i reported it to Tim he booked the car in, got it sorted and all within the timeframe discussed, they even had it gleaming for me ready to pick up!!Again, can’t recommend these guys enough and thank you again for a great service

Southern Car Sales responded to Motorway's offer for the sale of my Skoda Fabia. I was cointacted by Carl Mills who was very accommodating around the collection date from my home. He was polite, efficient and very pleasant to deal with and with a helpful and friendly professional manner, he dealt with the DVLA notification process and placed the agreed purchase sum in my bank account while at my house. He also contacted me after the collection to say the Skoda performed well on his drive back.Overall it was a very pleasant customer service I received from Southern Car Sales.

Excellent car buying experience with Craig.Hassle free look around and test drive. Sorted out some things I wanted done prior to purchase and picked me up from the station on collection day. Highly recommended.

We were going to buy a Mazda MX5 for a little fun run about but when we went to possibly collect it the car was jammed at the back of the workshop still dirty, valve caps missing and still with the marks on the paintwork which were supposed to be dealt with! To make matters worse we then found another salesman leaning all over my wifes clean Range Rover Evoque! Needless to say we won't be going back there. Went to Mazda and bough a brand new one!!!

Recently purchased a car, absolutely no pressure too buy when looking. Craig and Tim very helpful with after sales care. Slight engine glitch with new car but this was soon fixed with no hassle, courtesy car was on hand. Car was also washed and tank filled when I picked it up. Really good service from Southern Car Sales.

I purchased a car from Southern car sales about 4 weeks ago. Unfortunatley there was an issue with the car and it had to be returned. I personally don't think the garage knew about the issue as it took to drive 500 miles before it became apparent. The Staff were very understanding and the car was collected to be assessed. It took and while and it still hadn't been fixed. I decided I needed a refund, so I could purchase another car. They gladly obliged and I had my money back within a couple of Days. Tim was great and kept me informed of every thing going on.A bit disappointed as I didn't get the car I wanted. But they were very polite and professional and sorted out what they could as quick as they could. I would of happily bought another car from them, had they had what I was looking for in stock.Dave

Horrendous experience with this company. Purchased a 2009 Hyundai i30 in April. Got the car home & noted both front tyres were bald. Vehicle had MOT not 3 days prior to collection I contacted the garage immediately and in this instance they did agree to replace the tyres but made me question the validity of the MOT - the salesman had told me the garage used for the MOT was somewhere just down the road and that they used all the time. Over the coming weeks I discovered numerous issues - heater does not function, CD player inoperable as are USB/iPod connections, passenger electric window switch faulty, the passenger door handle faulty, knocking sound on rear passenger side. when I first viewed the car i noted the storage compartment on the front console was missing (albeit the salesman had no clue what was missing or why!) agreed that this would be replaced. I later discovered that the replacement was never installed properly. When I went to open it, it simply fell out in my hand.they couldn't be bothered to secure it into the car properly. Became clear very quickly that this car was a lemon, the runt of the litter for this dealership. It was sold as immaculate but as time went on a number of frustrating issues appeared with the vehicle, all of which were reported to the garage with very little help or assistance forthcoming. In an effort to draw a conclusion to the stess and upset being caused by ongoing faults, I demanded (in hindsight foolishly accepted) a partial refund of £300 to allow me to resolve the heater/CD player issues. The car was assessed by my local garage, it transpired that there was £1,000 worth of work required to get this vehicle up to the specification to which it had been sold to me. This culminated in a dangerous incident on 31st July where the handbrake failed after I had exited the car - the vehicle rolled down a road and into a flint wall. It was a miracle that no one was hurt. Again reported this to Southern Car Sales who advised their Warranty Manager would need to review the matter. With various chasers & demands for a full refund, issue was referred to the Company Director who was the only person capable of agreeing a refund. Director was on holiday at the time, so again I had to wait for a reasonable response, but not without 2 further chasers. In the interim, I had parked the car outside my local Co-Op store and witnessed, with my own eyes, the handbrake popping" out of its parked position as I was exiting the vehicle. All information was passed to Southern Car Sales. It was finally agreed that the car would be collected from my workplace
