Stamford Bridge
A lovely little village with local history. There are a couple of pubs and some local restaurants or takeaways, plus a Co-Op that is well stocked with a good range of items. There is also a decent size free car park. There is a very pleasant walk by the canal with a route that will also take you over the viaduct.

A great little village which is rapidly expanding. Stamford Bridge is roughly half way between my home and my children's homes. I always stay off in Stamford mainly for the loo, but quite often I like to have a look at the river, there is also a fully refurbished co-op alongside lovely smaller shops

Nice little village with a couple of decent eateries, and a FREE car park.Lovely nature walk along the river to the disused railway viaduct.The battle site itself is underwhelming, accessed through a modern housing estate, and the viewpoint has no view due to high hedges - one for real history buffs only!

Large village in North YorkshireI was on the way to Castle howardBridge in centre of town caused a traffic jam as only wide enough for one vehicleI guess this is a constant issue

A pretty little town dripping with history. The large car park next to the bridge is free. A few walks and cycle tracks are in the area, including over a nearby viaduct.A few nice tea shops, a couple of pubs and a newly refurbished Co-op.Enjoy!
