St Barnabas House Worthing charity shop and wedding boutique

Really lovely boutique. Team have worked hard to make this a lovely space away from the main shop. Lots of great choice (I’m a size 10) hadn’t expected ex sample dresses never worn, thought it would just be donated 2nd hand dresses. I said yes to my dress at a fraction of the price! While supporting a great cause. Access to the boutique is via stairs. Off road pay & display parking directly outside shop. You do have to book an appointment. Would highly recommend to all brides.

A hidden gem. Beautiful prom and wedding dresses available at amazing prices. It felt like we were in a boutique. The staff were super helpful and really knowledgeable. They made the whole experience of finding a prom dress for my daughter very enjoyable. Highly recommended.

What a great experience! It was the third bridal boutique I’d had and it was by far the best. Caroline was amazing, she listened and had some great advice and thoughts. The whole experience was fun and relaxed. The dresses are beautiful and well priced and Caroline was super helpful. I would recommend this bridal boutique to anyone and how great to be buying second hand too!

I visited the wedding dress boutique back in May and had a lovely experience! Caroline is so helpful and made choosing a wedding dress good fun. She listened to what I did like and didn’t like about each dress and she ended up selecting the dress I wore for my wedding - and my shoes! Both were beautiful.I recommend looking for your dress here (I know they also have flower girl, bridesmaids and a selection of suits too) for multiple reasons:1) Caroline is fantastic, she listens carefully and helps you pick2) the money you spend on the dress is going to a good cause3) you get to try on a wide variety of styles (some shops only have the “in-trend” style so choice is limited)4) the dresses are more affordableOn point number 4, I couldn’t resist Googling my dress after I purchased it. Brand new it was just under 2 grand and I purchased it for £350.All I can say is it’s worth a look, you might find the dress of your dreams while helping out a worthy cause.

A hidden gem wedding boutique! There's a great selection there of pre-loved and sample dresses, and the prices are incredible. I was lucky enough to discover a gorgeous sample dress that was a clear winner for me the moment I put it on. Every dress, no matter where you buy it, will need some alterations so why spend a fortune on a dress you need to alter anyway? Caroline is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and patient and knows exactly how to match the dress to the bride and has endless ideas of how to adjust anything. The bonus is that in buying your dress from here, you are in effect donating to the charity, which feels so much better than pumping more money into a very lucrative and over-the-top wedding industry. This is a great shop, I recently bought a full kilt outfit amazing. I've also asked them to look out for things form, which they found and called me. Great quality, good prices and outstanding customer service. Caroline the manageress friendly, welcoming and always on the ball. I highly recommend a visit. We came here to look for wedding dresses for my sister. Catherine is absolutely fantastic, so knowledgeable and really lovely! It was really nice to have the room to ourselves and there were plenty of dresses to choose from, with accessories to match. Highly recommended if you're looking for a pre loved dress!

My daughter and I came to the boutique looking for a prom dress. We were taken upstairs to a private room, filled with the most beautiful dresses in a variety of colours and sizes. Caroline told us we could try on whatever we liked and offered to help with any trying on, alteration questions etc. She told us we had the room to ourselves for an hour and then discreetly left us to it, letting us know we just had to ask if we needed any help. The dresses! Some were actually brand new, others preloved, but all of them were extremely high quality. We really were spoilt for choice (so much so, we ended up buying more than one!). Honestly, if you want a beautiful dress, but don't want to break the bank, make the St Barnabas boutique your first port of call. An absolute gem

A good selection of wedding dresses if you are a size 6-12, limited options above this. I spoke to the lady over the phone about this prior to going so I was aware that there would only be a few dresses to try on but I was still reminded multiple times that my size meant a lot of the dresses were too small. The lady pointed out a long rack of dresses and said 'forget about all of these, and all of these' pointing to another rack, rather than simply directing me to the rack where my size was. She made comments like 'if we put that dress on you we'd never get it off' and that I had 'lost my schoolgirl figure', I was generally made to feel like I should be ashamed for my size and that I was too big and that's why there weren't many dresses in my size (another lady on the phone had told me there weren't many in my size because a lot of women are the same size and they sold a lot off dresses over the summer- a much nicer way of putting it). I felt uncomfortable the entire time especially then having to get undressed in front of this lady who had made comments about my body. If I was younger or less confident this could have been really damaging to someone's self esteem, all in all a pretty saddening experience when it's supposed to be a joyful one.
