This is a proper pub. It sells drink but no food. It is traditional in every way and keeps all of its beers to the highest of standards. So if you value what I described it is an outstanding place. Highly recommended.

Friendly bar staff. Good traditional pub with good beer. We enjoyed that atmosphere and they were very welcoming to the fact there were kids in our group. I spotted they had pies and picked eggs in the fridge...

Smith's Tavern
We spent a great Saturday evening here during a short trip to Ashbourne. There was very enjoyable live music, and the landlord/barman gave particularly good service to our dogs, offering water and biscuits. We had a great evening!

A fantastic pub that's well worth a visit. The landlord goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and the selection of beers is excellent. What more could you want in a pub.
