Hillside Golf Club
In the shadow of Birkdale but really does stand on its own two feet. Absolutely fantastic golf course. Not cheap, paid £130 on the last day of March, so that is the winter rate, but I'd say it's worth it. Greens were like glass and there was enough wind to make it very challenging. This should be on anybodys list of courses to play on the 'golf coast'!

The best golf course I've ever played!! Just a fantastic day, I can't wait to go back again. The course is superb!! All the staff at the club are so friendly and helpful, I simply can not fault the place. If you get the chance to play there you will not be disappointed.

Hillside Golf Club
Visited for the Betfred Golf tournament, was there for the full day. Good atmosphere as the day progressed, food was good, activities in the village were good to pass the time. First time visiting anything like this, or a golf day in general, so was pleased with the day. Would highly recommend for a day if you was thinking about going!

Such a beautiful golf course. The event I attended here was a wedding afterparty and it was so beautifully decorated. The staff were so friendly and considerate. The food was extremely classy and delicious. They have a lift to help people with disabilities to get up and down the different levels. They have a bar, dance floor, and amazing dance lights.

I have been lucky enough to play at lots of different courses, both here and abroad and Hillside is undoubtedly with the very best I have played. Simply stunning, especially the back nine. It really is a must for any serious golfer and lovely people too.

Attended a evening function. Nice function room in excellent condition. Good food. Good service. Lovely views out across the course from this first floor vantage point (it was mid-summer, so still light in the evening.)

Incredible place to play golf, with large pines and elevation keeping it more interesting than other links courses I've played. Friendly, relaxed and reasonably priced clubhouse overlooking the first tee and eighteenth green was great for breakfast before and beers after our round.
