Wonderful addition to Smithills Hall. Excellent service and food was fantastic. The whole experience from arriving to leaving was first class. Definitely will be visiting again - afternoon tea next time. Highly recommended.

Fantastic food the Portobello mushroom and brie sandwich was superb. Bacon sandwich with tomato relish fresh and amazing. Hot chocolate rich and velvety. Highly recommended. You won't be disappointed! The location is beautiful too!

Went to Smithills Hall Tea Room on 27 Jan 23. It was very busy but the service was great. They couldn't do enough for you. We had a platter for 2. Soup, half of a large sandwich of your choice, we had Roast beef. It came with salad, slaw, wedges and an amazing sausage roll. We had 1 caramelised onion and one Black pudding. We can honestly say they were the best sausage rolls we have had. We had no room for cake but the looked amazing. Will definitely be back.

We called in for lunch after a walk around the grounds. Fantastic location and friendly, efficient service. We had the handmade sausage roll lunch and were very impressed. Excellent food that did not compromise on quality or quantity. We will definitely be back but next time we will pre book the afternoon tea as they looked incredible.

I brought my friend to celebrate her birthday. We had an afternoon tea, which was stunning. All freshly prepared, homemade, beautifully presented, and delicious. A real treat. When we arrived we asked if we could have a window seat to enjoy the lovely surroundings, this was no trouble at all. Despite being busy, we were looked after very well. We didn’t have to wait long for our food and when we needed drink top ups it was handled very efficiently. The staff were all very helpful, very polite and very friendly. I would highly recommend the afternoon tea, but make sure you do book a table, as it’s very popular, for good reason. Thank you Bake&Roast, we will definitely be back soon.

Had the most amazing Afternoon Tea on Sunday for Mother's Day. The food was sublime, excellent service and superb coffee. I have never had an afternoon tea as good as this. All the food homemade and utterly delicious. I do feel you could and should charge more for what you give. I have paid double the cost of yours for nothing as delicious as you make.I will be back to sample some more amazing food.

Terrible service, after waiting for ages we got our own menus. Decided to just have cappuccino and cake for 3, it took 20 minutes for coffee to arrive, which was strong and bitter. We were given our cake but with no berries as they had ran out. Then there were no spoons to stir the coffee to add sugar to the bitter taste. It was terrible service, bad coffee, poor cake choice.
