I would give the Egyptian Bureau for Cultural and Educational Affairs one star out of five, but there’s no option for zero stars. The staff here are friendly, but their effectiveness is severely lacking. They never respond to emails, and phone calls go unanswered. The process for legalizing certificates is not only slow but also inefficient. It took them more than six weeks to legalize my son’s papers, requiring me to make two costly trips to their office just to communicate with them and obtain the necessary documents. To make matters worse, they only accept cash payments, and you have to pay at an Egyptian bank, not even at their office.

I have used the postal service for certificate legislation, it was easy and fast. The communication with the Bureau was friendly and effective with all the details very clear. Really happy with the service.

I Live just in front of this building and every night the alarm sound wakes me up at 1am and 5am . The residents building has been complaining for over a year and this Egyptian Bureau has not sorted it out. They have no respect for their neighbours

I have struggled in the past with governmental offices and so I was expecting the worst, but the Bureau was extremely helpful. I had an emergency and needed to legalise some documents quickly, and they went over and beyond to get my documents sorted before my flight to Egypt.Dr Rasha, the Cultural Attaché, as well as the gentleman who helped me (I didn’t catch his name) were very nice and went out of their way to solve my issue. Additionally, all my emails and phone calls were replied to promptly.

I have been trying to reach them for almost a month. I tried emailing and phone calling them but I got nothing. If someone knows how to reach them please help me as I need to travel to Egypt for an emergency.
