The quality and quantity of choices at Breakfast are superb. The evening meals/platters are excellent. The selection of drinks in the honesty bar is exceptional. The facilities are second to none . Absolutely love the natural swimming pond. However the thing I like most about Piglets is the level of service and care Max and Chrissie provide it is of the highest quality. They work unbelievably hard over long hours to provide an experience second to none.

We had a wonderful stay this week at Piglet’s B&B. It was a peaceful place with extremely welcoming owners Max and Chrissie who were attentive to our every needs. A place for rest and relaxation. The games room and pool were fun, not to mention the excellent and impressive gin bar which included their own locally made gin. This is not to be missed!Breakfast was fabulous - a wide range of beautifully home cooked food and the delightful Chrissie’s delicious award-winning marmalade!

My daughter recently moved to the area and we wanted to stay near her for Easter. We had a brilliant time. I cannot fault anything about our stay. The owners were lovely, It was so relaxing, we had the best time. Would highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

This place is a delight. So often one has read reviews (both in the papers and on Tripadvisor/Google Maps/etc) and looked forward to the idyllic stay promised, only to be sadly disappointed by the reality. Piglets is the opposite. From the moment we arrived and were shown all the facilities by Max, and then had a cuppa and a slice of Chrissie’s tasty home made cake, it appeared to be on a different level.Chrissie and Max have obviously travelled widely and have personal experience of what people want and works and what doesn’t in a B & B. They have then made sure that they offer exactly that.The rooms are immaculately clean and well equipped with everything you hope for and expect. The bathrooms have great water pressure and ample hot water. There is extremely good wifi.Breakfast offers a wide selection of mainly locally sourced delights - everything from a full English to Eggs Benedict, Arbroath smokies and lots more. We had a simple supper one evening but there was a good variety on offer.There is an honour bar with a superb selection of drinks available, including a massive variety of different gins.There are a number of common sitting areas inside - more like nice country living rooms, and, had the weather been more clement, there is a lot of outside seating and natural swimming pool. There is a games room and other board games available.Chrissie and Max are also incredibly helpful and will answer any query.It claims to be a home from home - and that is what Piglets delivers. You can see why it won B & B of the year for 2023. It has set an incredibly high standard. If only most other B & Bs were even a fraction as good…

Our stay at Piglets Boutique B&B was an absolute delight, leaving me compelled to share my glowing review. Nestled in Essex countryside, Piglets B&B surpassed all expectations, offering a perfect blend of tranquility and hospitality. Without a doubt, I wholeheartedly recommend this B&B to anyone seeking an enchanting escape.

Stayed here to celebrate my mom's birthday. Absolutely wonderful and welcoming hosts, gorgeous rooms and facilities (I didn't brave the cold water swim but some of our party did) as well as an incredible breakfast. Would highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Max and Chrissie have thought of everything. All the little extras that you could wish for are here. We loved the pool, games room and gardens. Breakfast was excellent and we stayed in both nights for dinner which was lovely sitting in the Mediterranean garden. We would recommend Piglets to anyone wanting a 5* stay with good food and a warm welcome.

Amazing place to stay, fresh water swimming pool is a must, it is so nice and warm! The food is all so delicious we basically had to roll home, especially recommend the pizzas and full English.There is so much to do, plenty of outdoor games croquet, petanque etc. and amazing games room full size snooker table and the snug living room where we enjoyed table top games with a drink from the exceptional bar selection.Max and Chrissie and a joy to stay with, exceptional service and amazing food.
