A good selection of food but out of date stock is left to rot as not checked properly. Staff friendliness can be an issue as one minute nice the next funny. When I use the shop it is funny how the speaker system goes off nearly every time as if I am being monitored as a suspected shop lifter. One young chap very helpful and has good customer skills. Could do without the beggar out front who probably has more money than me and is always hustling for cigarettes and spare change.

Incorrect price label left on a bottle of Prosecco which wasn’t honoured. Took ages to get any help on the self checkout. The shop was very narrow and difficult to look round properly

Just came in to buy a snack, one of the workers stared at me and radioed the other staff member to make sure I paid for the item rather than steal it. I come here often and I’m normally welcomed. Stereotypes of theft are apparently still a common thing with individuals who have tattoos/look alternative. If you’re going to talk about the customers like that at least do it on the down low…

Decent enough shop with plenty of produce, but it's small and the aisles are very narrow. This leads to lots of social distancing issues as people try to get round one another and the staff when they are trying to stock the shelves. It is ok - just - when people are wearing face coverings but every so often you get some numptie who disregards the rules and in this particular Co-Op the staff must be a bit more on the ball to insist that face coverings are worn, even if only to protect themselves

My wife went here this afternoon to redeem the voucher for the electricity. The staff had no clue how to do it but putting that aside, they were simply rude and unpleasant. It says you can redeem it at any paypoint, the woman with the short grey hair behind the counter told her to go to the post office who don’t have pay points do my wife went back and the dark haired woman who said she is new to the team leader role was just rude and abrasive, very unhelpful and clueless by her own admission. You’d think as it’s a nation wide scheme the staff would be trained in the simple task of scanning a barcode, absolutely pathetic.

Poor selection when compared to Sainsbury’s locals/Tesco metro etc. Meal deal items never in stock. Have been left waiting for items to be approved for ages before and just ended up walking out. Just walk a few more minutes and go to Sainsbury’s.

My daughter received terrible service when she attempted to ask Roan, store manager at Co-op on Lothian Road, for help finding a product, she was ignored and I sent in a complaint. It was later revealed that Roan, a store manager with this company was too busy playing Pokemon on his phone to pay attention to customers.Roan now posts five star reviews of other Co-op stores in Edinburgh. Despite complaining about the five star reviews he leaves as a conflict of interest Co-op do nothing. While they allow their own staff members and managers to manipulate their ratings I cannot recommend any Co-op store, especially after the appalling service my daughter received.

Customer service 1/10. Items put on shelf in the wrong place by worker yet I get the blame. Person behind the till didn't seem to know the difference between soup and a drink.

Co Ops are very convenient for a quick shop and in the case of this one ideal for a sandwich and a can of pop plus tobacco products and lottery tickets. One complaint their machines are card only so if you wish to pay cash you have to go to the counter.

Walked in 30 mins before closing and the staff were all talking on the headmic and talking loudly it was very unprofessional. I then got to the self checkout where i scanned all my items and asked for my Young Scot discount and they refused to give it to me as the PASS logo had peeled off the card but this is a known issue with everyone’s card and i’ve never had this problem anywhere else.
