My dog Henry is registered here and I took him in on the 16th May 2023 due to a snot green discharge from his right eye not clearing on its own after bathing with a sterile saline solution for two days. The consultation took a maximum 15 minutes after which he was prescribed a combo steroid and antibiotic eye solution. The bill came to £75. Really?? £50 for a ten to fifteen minute consultation/diagnosis. His ears and weight were not checked. At the last minute, the vet listened to his heart. The eye drops cost £25. The very same that are available to buy at full price online at £5. A friends dog had the exact same issue and they were charged £32 for the consultation which included their dog being weighed and thoroughly checked over and the required medication. Less than half the price! I am looking elsewhere now. Particularly as the annual boosters for my dog and cat are coming up and no prices are given for this on the Mearley website.

Visited Mearleys today very distraught as my beautiful dog appears to have the start of dementia ,I was so upset ,I met with the vet he was called Heidel all I can say he was exceptional so kind and really explained everything thoroughly to me .I highly recommend and the reception the ladies are so very kind thank you so much x

Not happy with the costs I paid today. I had never been told about a part or partial boost. A booster is a booster done yearly. I found the female veterinary very hostile with me I felt she was critising my dog caring skills. I've been really ill. If I never cared about my dog I wouldn't have all his regular up to date treatment done. I could go on and on but what's the point I will look around for another vet. I do not like there pricing or attitude either.

I have been a customer of Mearley Vets since about 1992, and spent over £30,000 with them for the care and well-being of my pets and also strays I have taken in.My dis -satisfaction and total disappointment with the service since IVC, took over, is the hike in prices and customer care changes.I have been paying over £150 a month to maintain one of my cats health for quite a while. When it came to the decision to let him go, I arranged for an appointment to have the final injection.The vet did what he had to do, it ended peacefully.After being a dedicated customer, I thought that the cost could have been wavered or at leased reduced.But no it's all profit to you and sod the customer care.A lot of you medication is cheeper on line, but you Charge a fortune for a prescription.I though vets helped carers, and looked after animals.

Receptionist and nurses were great and supportive. Unfortunately female vet has no compassion and she is empathetic, with no listening skills. Does not let you speak and tell your side of a story and speaks over you. Avoid if possible.

Excellent vets, been taking our boxer dogs to Mearley vets for over 30 years. All the vets and staff are very helpful and professional, they have taken excellent care of our beautiful babies from being puppies to having to say goodbye to them in later life

Wonderful visit as usual friendly atmosphere. Nice & Clean throughout, helpful friendly staff and good communication it really does takes the stress out of taking Freya to the vet

My 7month old kitten has recently been spayed, at the Accrington branch. The whole process from start to finish was seamless. Very friendly staff and the veterinary nurse was lovely and informative.Very good company and I would highly recommend them.Thank you!
