Xmas day dinner looking forward to a lovely meal but oh dear. No greeting on arrival member of staff unsure what to do with us said she would go ask, told we were to early at 14.25 for meal at 15.00. Asked at 15.20 if we could sit at our table, starter served at 15.45 by harassed staff member. Tables opposite uncleared. Sent back roast potatoes as could not even put a fork in replaced with some even harder. 2 tables next to us said the same. Beef nice and tender but accompaniments not good. Bernaise stuck so thick stuck in pot.Staff rushed off their feet felt very sorry for them. Paid full service charge for that reason alone.Will not be eating there again. Awful food and service what a disappointment on xmas day. Management should be ashamed of themselves

Food was good, not enough staff though! We got the feeling there was a Christmas party on in a banquet room because the 2 serving staff and 2 bar staff were run off their feet, every table was full, I felt sorry for them! I waited at the bar for half an hr to be served 4 drinks. No clean glasses , they were pulling them out of the dishwasher and rinsing them! No clean tables, simply not good enough. We were all disappointed.

Staff were lovely but run off their feet, food was not good, first meals came out cold, sent them back but all of the food was salty, bland and tasted processed. They gave us a discount after first offering free deserts (we were all on a fixed price 2 course menu which included desert). Would not eat there again just because the food was so bad. Staff excellent though.

Staying at the Malmaison Leeds and decided to use the in house restaurant. Awful experience. Music so loud the furniture was vibrating and despite asking for it to be turned down, nothing. Took half an hour to place an order even though to place was half empty. Rump steak was more like an over done minute - too thin to be pink as ordered. Side dish was forgotten turned up as the meat was finished. No mustard. No water. No staff. No hope. Don’t usually review negatively, but this place needs to be avoided.

The food was absolutely amazing and the staff we're so professional, helpful and friendly especially Lisa and Adam.The venue is clean and so are the facilities. We will certainly return, whatever city its happens to be in!

Lucky to dine just after a menu change and it didn't disappoint. Black bream was delicious! The staff looking after us were very friendly and chatty. Would recommend.

Visited here on a Friday evening in August and had high hopes for it after reading reviews, but it didn't live up to it. A total lack of atmosphere didn't help and was rather unimpressed.Had two starters that were okay, but not amazing. The spicy sweetcorn chowder wasn't spicy and the Thai sticky beef and noodle salad was mostly just noodle salad (a good job in the end that they got my order wrong and gave me a starter portion rather than the main portion that I had requested).

Beautiful building with plush interior. Our room was upgraded. Clean with comfortable bedsCosy breakfast/ bar area.Check-in staff friendly.
