Great museum with lots of information. Covid restrictions in place which is good as its not overcrowded.

This is quite a small museum but it is interesting in that it compares the development of Avebury to that of other parts of the world at that time. The large building also houses a cafe where you can sit outside.

It is an interesting museum where it explain the archaeology of Avebury finding and trying to understand the present of the stones structures..how and why it was there though most of it are guess work till it is proven

The Avebury stone circles on their own are great. The Alexander Keiller museum was underwhelming. We were expecting it to be bigger. It would also be good if they had an animated or graphic model to show how they were built. Can't comment on the Manor or Gardens.

Really want to give it both 5 star, for the Avebury site, as 3 star for the cafe.Food in the cafe was, at best, average. Tea was nice, but the sausage roll and Cornish pasty were poor

A tiny museum and definitely not worth paying to enter but if you’re a national trust member you can get in for free. Expect to see everything in about 5 minutes. Helpful staff here. Rated 2 stars because it’s such a tiny museum with not a lot here.

There are assorted things to see and do here other than the museum. The barn museum is currently closed, however there is much else to see and do. The circle and village are pretty much always open. Some bits of the circle can be closed in winter due to wet and allowing the grass to regenerate. The manor house and gardens are well worth a visit, and can now be visited separately (previously gardens only accessible via house). There is also the keiler museum, small but interesting. As ever, there is a cafe, toilets and gift shop.In the village is also the Red Lion pub, a couple of shops (go and buy something in them) a lovely church, some pretty houses and a cricket club.Park in the main car park and wander about.

This is A 17th-century thatched threshing barn which has been restored to its original beauty, which now houses the Visitors reception to buy tickets for the museum and house, Really nice looking barn, and the workmanship that's gone into it is amazing, It's Also free.

The smaller satellite coffee shop has better coffee than the main one, however, it is supposed to open at 1100 and isn't. The last time I was here the door was open and I heard people upstairs. After 15 minutes waiting I said hello, and the woman come down and said it's not open because she didnt have staff yet and couldn't tell me when it would open. At the time of writing it is 1140, I hear people upstairs but the door is still locked.
