(This review is posted anonymously.)Edit 14/10/23: I have been able to successfully gain a refund on the item I was sent that did not match the image or description given on the company website. It appears that the company were never in possession of the correct item as my preference was for replacement of the incorrect item with the correct, rather than a refund. To me this would suggest false advertisement, and it will be raised with trading standards. I would recommend nobody purchase from this shop unless they can verify that the product they are expecting to receive can actually be provided.Original post: Be extremely dubious when purchasing from this company. While I did receive an item, it is the wrong item, and it does not match the photo or description on their website. I am attempting to arrange a return and either exchange for the correct item or a refund, however I cannot even get a response from the company currently. Communication is extremely poor, with slow response times to email and no call backs to my telephone message left. Several times I have felt like I would not get anything at all.TLDR: Poor communication, wrong item received, and suspected false advertisement. I would currently recommend avoiding this company if at all possible.

Avoid this shop and website you will not receive your item nor refund.Lack of my better judgement.Please do yourself a solid and buy elsewhere especially when ordering online from Colchester Militaria . Ive paid for the item, received the conformation my order was received and money withdrawn all I assume was fine. Months later no avail, no conformation email of shipping of said items nothing. Emails to Colchester gone ignored, empty responses via their Facebook page (they will delete your comments on their post) and promised from them to give me a tracking after I've ask for a refund what do you know nothing was given. Now I've just accepted the loss and beilive it or not am not the first one to lose out from ordering from Colchester Militaria. Do not order from here especially big purchase or even small ones. Save yourself a headache and go elsewhere.Update : item was ordered in May 2023 it is now December 2023 still nothing nor response.

Don't waste your money ordered from them 6 weeks ago and I have received nothing I wish I had read the reviews first save yourself the stress and go elsewhere I am going to trading standards I might not get my money back but they need stopping.

I also ordered an item a month ago and paid immediately. have not received anything yet. They do not respond to Email, Facebook Messenger and even WhatsApp messages. I do not recommend anyone to place an order there. This will save you money and nerves.

big scam never recieved my product after payingperson i got in contact with says i never paid even though i have proof by bank that the money has been transferred, upon writing a review i simply get a childish answer fake review" like so many other people who probably were as unfortunate as i was to fall into this"

Item as described. Excellent quality upon receipt, very good price. Dispatched and received within time indicated. 4 stars only because communication could improve, but otherwise very happy with my purchase. Thank you

So wrote another email requesting an update on my order.Got reply to my email stating that he had been on holiday and had only just gotten back.“Will get these sorted tonight for tomorrow”Exact quote from the email03/07/23No parcel yet so sent an email asking if the goods had been sent or if they were waiting on stock.23/08/23Having not heard anything requested a refund. Going to report this business to trading standards, I suggest that anyone else who has had issues do the same.

They've taken their website down, won't respond to my demands for return of my cash. 3 months now. They've vanished. Do not buy from them.Edit. Thanks for that, I've just sent you yet another email with screenshot of your website, I write reviews based on my experience, I hate writing negatively about shops but I hate getting taken too.This has been going on for 3 months, unanswered emails then rushed replies asking for bank details when you already have them.£58 I paid,I stand my ground.
