Lovely attentive bartender but worst mojito I’ve ever had, dried mint leaves? We couldn’t finish them.

Our 1st visit & definitely not going to be our last.Booked for Sunday lunch which did not disappoint. Plenty of hot vegetables and generous serving of tasty roast lamb. Great roast potatoes all served with a jug of extra gravy.Definitely one of the best Sunday lunches I had in a long time.

Stopped by for a Sunday roast with the wife after being recommended by a friend. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and has been renovated well to a high quality. Our serving staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our meal which was great. The food was very tasty and prepared to a high standard using good quality produce. The Yorkshire puddings were so good and a nice thick gravy on top. We had chicken and a beef roast with sides of cauliflower cheese and cabbage with bacon. The food cost us around £45 with drinks a further £15, not too bad in my opinion for the quality.I would like to come back to sample the rest of their evening and breakfast menus. I'm sure the food will be just as good.A couple of things to note for improvement would be; napkins and cutlery on the tables during meal times and a drinks menu/wine list.

Stopped off on the way to the ferry and stumbled on this place and what a find. Just had the most amazing Sunday dinner, in a beautiful setting with the most friendly staff. 2 weeks time we will return on the way home.

Was recommended this newish restaurant by my hairdresser, booked a table for the Sunday. Arrived on time and was shown our table next to the window and front door which was constantly opening and shutting so spend all our time cold. The table next to us had a group of 5 who were quite obviously drunk and very loud, swearing, singing etc. We had to get 2 of them to move to get to our table so luckily none of us needed the toilet. We were then asked for our drink order without even being given a drinks menu to which they said they are being printed. They took our food order over a glass barrier, when the food arrived the waitress had to hand over the plates because there was no room for her to put the food on the table. Not a happy waitress with a slight attitude. Not once were we asked if our food was OK.The food was nice as we had the roast, both had pork, however for what we paid it seemed quite small. There were no other options that they had available to choose from, I don't know whether that was because it was a Sunday or they had just ran out of other things. On another note, concerning the table next to us that we're extremely rowdy, drunk and swearing, not one member of staff said anything to them about keeping the noise down and I don't think we were the only ones that had a bad experience as another table as they left made some comments to the loud table.

Chaotic, but the food is good! When we arrived the table we had booked (and had an email conversation confirming the booking) was not on the list - start of the chaos. We waited on a side table and had a glass of wine while we waited. We were then offered a small, high, side table for 2 - or another table where you would be blocking in another couple. We chose the side table - which was ok.No menus were provided, but we had already viewed the menu so knew what we wanted.Cutlery was then placed on the table, and then some taken away for another table. One small drinks-coaster style napkin was provided - no proper napkin.Anyway - when the food arrived it was all-in-all pretty good. Great portion size, good quality of meat, roast potatoes and carrots. Broccoli was mushy and over cooked, as was the Cauliflower cheese (but still tasted good). The dinners were also SWIMMING in gravy and was very thin (fine if that’s how you like it).To cap it off one of the staff (maybe the owner?) kept rushing in and out of the front door and eventually came back with a Tesco carrier bag of produce. So - an ok experience where the food was the main positive. We are u likely to return based on this experience - but worth giving it a try if you are less bothered about the service/general experience.
