I got BIAB gel nails done at Aurora last week - they are absolutely beautiful and are still in perfect condition. The woman who did my nails was lovely, and I had such a positive experience here. I’ll definitely be back!

I’ve been going to Aurora for a few years and usually see Louise for my eyebrows who is lovely. Really friendly, welcoming and professional.I booked an appointment with Regan on Saturday 8th April 2023 at 10am for biab nails. I’d organised child care for my 3 very young children and was having my nails done as a treat ready to celebrate my birthday that evening.I arrived at the salon at 9:50am and there wasn’t a single member of staff at the salon. At 9.55am 3 girls turned up, McDonald’s in hand, tried the front door, couldn’t get in and so went and sat in their car. By 10.30 there were 5 of us waiting outside the salon for various appointments. No one came to tell us what was going on, one of the ladies waiting had to approach the girls in the car to ask what was happening. At 10.40 I called the salon phone number and a lady who I assume is the owner answered and suddenly the girls got out of the car, got the keys from the key safe and opened up. I was told Regan hadn’t turned up with the keys to open and wasn’t answering her phone and so after almost an hour waiting I was sent away.I was absolutely gutted and upset after organising child care and getting my hopes up for a little me time and a pamper before my birthday.I then called the salon number again at 1pm to be told Regan had called in sick and after asking if they could fit me in, the earliest they could do was the following week.I appreciate that these things happen but the customer service and the way it was handled was appalling. I had to call the salon, I had no real apology and still to date (22/6/23) no one has been in touch to rearrange or offer a complimentary service or voucher.I won’t be back and advise anyone who is looking for a reliable service to AVOID and go somewhere else.

Beautiful salon!Friendly and helpful staff; I only popped by for a patch test, but I'm looking forward to my next treatment!*** Updated ***Poor communication!I originally phoned the salon to discuss manicure options, the lady I spoke with (receptionist) wasn't able to advise and said she makes the bookings, but she arranged for a therapist to call me back.I received a call back (unfortunately I didn't get the ladies name) however, she booked me in for a gel manicure, as more time is required, and said that a therapist will discuss options with me at my appointment.I also booked in for a brow tint and shape.I arrived at my appointment, was seated, then greeted by Cerys.Cerys promptly started with filing, buffing, shaping my nails; it was during this time I wondered my therapists name and when we were going to discuss gels. There was zero discussion.Cerys then proceeded with the gel base coat! Good job I had already decided on gels.Cerys then asked what shade I would like, to which I replied that I would like nail art ... Cerys was unable to do this as she is a trainee.I understand that we all require training, but why was I booked in with a trainee after noting that I would like to discuss manicure options?! I also wasn't advised that I was booked in with a trainee, had I'd known I would have changed this booking.Moving on, I chose my colour and Cerys finished the manicure; my only feedback would be that the polish doesn't quite cover the full nail, leaving space around the base of the nail.I had my brows carried out by Josie, tint and wax, she was very pleasant and did a great job.For politeness, it would be great if therapists introduced themselves.Payment: it cost around £40 for 2 treatments, quite pricey especially with a trainee.Sadly I left feeling disappointed, especially as this was a gift to me from friends on becoming a new mum.What's also quite sad is that I left verbal feedback with Josie, expressing that I was disappointed and my reasons why; she apologised and made a note on my client record... what good is that going to do?!There has been zero follow up since.

Had gel nail extensions with gel polish on top just over 2 weeks ago. Been really happy with them & they've lasted so well. Had lots of complements too. Recommend Aurora!

Nice salon. Friendly, did a good job of gel nails, reasonable prices. Quite busy, need to book.
