This cafe is a real gem ! I first discovered it when going for an eye test next door but so pleased I went in as I have visited a few times since.I went there with a friend today at lunchtime and although we hadn't booked we were given a lovely seat by the window. We ordered drinks and the turkey roll with stuffing , cranberry sauce, pig in blanket and gravy. It was delicious, very fresh bread roll and the turkey was cooked to perfection! Although we weren't sure about the gravy it was a tasty perfect addition.Thank you for fitting us in one of your busy pre- Christmas lunch days.We will certainly be back soonHayleyI love the wall paper and decorations!

We stopped here for lunch today. First impressions were of a clean, light and very nice stetting with a wide choice on the menu. The staff were very attentive and polite. I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken priced at £11.50. When it arrived I was surprised to see such a small portion. At best it was iceberg lettuce covered in dressing with a small amount of cheese and croutons. The chicken seemed like a pre cooked piece of chicken badly stripped off the bone with many bits in it. I honestly can say that the price does not reflect the portion size or quality. The other meals we ordered seemed to reflect the price. I came away feeling disappointed and slight confused by my meal.

Today I seen a turkey bap with stuffing, and pigs in blankets for £7.50 I thought that seemed decent. Wow was I disappointed! Like quarter of a sausage. Some cheap bap, and the thinnest slices of turkey I have ever seen. Not worth £5 let alone £7.50. very very disappointed.

Visited the cafe on Wednesday and had a lovely croque monsieur, with a little side salad, then shared a coffee and walnut cake. Lovely freshly made food and this cafe is one of the cleanest I have even been in. We'll done to the excellent chef and waiting staff. Will be definitely returning

Unfortunately was very disappointed today, just with the kids menu. Meant for under 12 years old but the portion was so tiny it was insane for £4.95. Cheese on toast cut into strips with what seemed to be half a slice of bread. Food quality and service was good but would never take a child again. Hopefully this is not the intention to discourage children from going!

Crown Street Coffee Lounge
Comfortable, airy café, with lovely decor and plenty of seating indoors and on the pavement. It was extremely busy when we visited, so not everything on the menu was available, but what we had was delicious, and the service was friendly and efficient. Good menu, with some veggie and vegan options, and excellent specials. Plenty of drinks, including draft Peroni, and truly lovely cakes and coffee. Highly recommended!
