Quick and efficient repair, very polite nothing was too much trouble

When my fridge freezer had a problem, amongst others, I called Carey’s. Lawrence talked me through the issue and that it wasn’t worth a repair so he wouldn’t come and see it as he didn’t want to incur me a call out charge. When my oven had an issue, because of my experience with them before, I again called Carey’s who sorted the issue. Response times are quick, customer service is excellent and most importantly costs are very reasonable. I encountered many national companies during my initial enquiries, all were extortionately prices and involved a wait for an appointment. Carey’s will now always be my first port of call for any appliance related problem.

Excellent service from booking (very fast appointment sorted) through to the engineer's visit, he called in advance of arrival, and work fast to fix issues. I am seriously impressed with their service and can highly recommend. They were very discrete, polite and experienced as we had holiday guests in our log cabins. These guys are brilliant, so helpful.i have used these guys in the pastand today my rangemaster cooker wasn't working due to clock button.the engineer talked me through what to do.Such lovely guys.cannot recommend these guys high enough 5 stars

Cannot recommend Carey’s highly enough. We had used another company to work on our Smeg induction range and they broke the cooker further while trying to repair it, through lack of understanding. Lawrence and Debbie worked methodically through the problem and solved what was a complex issue, in large part caused by missteps of another engineer. We highly recommend Carey’s and will never use anyone else in future.

I don’t recommend this company. 15 days of email ping pong to get a booking. Received an excuse of “sorry we didn’t see these replies”. Would have dragged out longer if I hadn’t chased them up. Requested a call back twice but they continued to email. Said they’d order a pump in for my Bosch dishwasher, showing error 21. Wait another 5 days for that. Potentially this would have dragged on for 5 weeks. Engineer alluded that they weren’t even that busy. Cut back to 2 engineers. Aden spent 20 minutes putting my machine on a quick cycle, opening & closing the door to check the water was draining. “It’s the pump clip that isn’t in properly I think”. Told Him “yes it was & I’d even checked on Youtube to see how to fix the machine before contacting them”. Had issues before with the clip then I got it working myself. Wasn't really listening, perhaps because I'm female. I get this alot with tradesmen not listening to what I'm saying. Explained it was showing error 21 before the cycle ended & his boss told me he’s ordered a new pump. Pump was working on different cycles, so doesn't need a new one. Told me to get some sink unblocker & call back if I get the error again. An invoice for £78 - (65 plus vat) arrived straightaway in my inbox (pay immediately on it). This call out fee was not disclosed to me at any stage in communication. I was quoted an approximation £190 for the full repair to replace the pump, after sending a detailed email of the issues in October. In the end Debbie called me to say I needed to contact Bosch as it's a motherboard issue. I could have been saved 3 weeks of unnecessary stress, if they would have just called me back weeks ago. This is the problem with these appliance repair companies, they avoid speaking to you on the phone so they can rip you off with a high call out charge. Ignoring what you've said. Telling you they can’t fix it anyway.

My somewhat aged gas cooker suddenly stopped igniting, there was no oven light and the clock stopped working. I thought it was probably terminal. Lawrence arrived promptly and diagnosed a blown fuse and changed it. Success ! He also refitted a rail in the grill which had been detached for a while. Excellent service. Would recommend unreservedly. Perhaps I should have checked the fuse first but the additional work and checks he did made it worthwhile.
