Old Hall Restaurant
So after many years of passing this place we decided to call in on our way home. The food is not aisian it's Persian. It's a beautiful old building and needs some tlc. The front door sill has rotted and fallen off so mind your step upon entry ....it may be removed before you're visit if you decide to go. Pieces of off cut carpet leading up to the dining room. The toilets were clean but in dire need of painting. Enough of that. The waitress was very pleasant . My dining chair almost engulfed me, thankfully the wooden frame saved me from getting wedged and remained a constantl reminder as it gently dug into my legs. Food ordered. Lot's of loud voices coming from the kitchen. We waited just over three quarters of an hour for the food to arrive . So it's freshly cooked. So what do you do with so much time on your hands while waiting to be fed? You look at little closer to your environment. Grit on the table cloth in the little bay window next to us. Lot's of little things that needs to be addressed. Food then. I ordered Shimla chicken, hot. My husband ordered a lamb dish. Rice and a plain naan. Good portions . My dish was nice, my husbands dish was nice, that's all I can say really and for someone it seems who likes the sound of her own voice...May speak volumes. Bon appetite.

Booked a table for 4 and we all ordered the tasting banquets. The food was sublime and the Service friendly and attentive. Highly recommended- thank you.

River cobbler, with potato/cauliflower. Delicious food, good service, reasonable pricing. Probably a 4-4.5, but they deserve the support of 5*

Another lovely meal - overnight stop in our motorhome. Subtly spiced, Persian inspired dishes well cooked. Generous portions.

When we lived in Shropshire, Old Hall Persian Restaurant was a regular favourite of ours so when we came back to visit friends we knew where we wanted to eat. We had the Banquet tasting menu which gave us lots of lovely flavours to enjoy and there was more than enough food for us. All in all another really lovely tasty meal

Had a brilliant meal here. On a tuesday evening in early November. We were the only people in the restaurant when we arrived, and while initially dubious, we had a fantastic meal. All the food was fresh and delicious, and it was wonderful to try the selection of dishes available. I really think the restaurant could benefit from some clearer advertising, but we were genuinely impressed. Many thanks!

My husband and I were looking for a halal place to eat in Mid Wales and came across Old Hall Persian. Very glad we did as the food was incredible. Whilst we did wait a while for the food, it came out fresh and every dish was tasty. Safe to say this is one of the best places I have dined.

Old Hall Restaurant
My wife and I went here last week with some friends for the first time. We had the banquet, with our friends having the veggie version. Food was beautifully cooked and tasted lovely - beautifully spiced. Service was good, and I think pretty much all the family was involved with hosting, serving, cooking etc. A really nice evening. We hope to go again soon.

A unique negative experience! Incredible! We reserved a table for our friends and us, asked again for confirmation and this evening we’ve found the place closed, no sign of live and nobody took a call! Totally unreliable! If you are looking for a spoiled Saturday evening, book this place!
