Excellent service from start to end. I contacted Novello Surveyors after reading multiple reviews online and checking example reports and so glad I went with them.Really quick at responding to my initial email with a follow up call to discuss their services, and book in a building survey which was done in the same week. As they only handle a small number of clients each week they offer a really personalised prompt service.The building report is extremely detailed (77 pages) which has highlighted a lot issues I wasn't aware off.Will definitely use again, and would highly recommend!

I had come to Novello after having a rather difficult and stressful situation with another surveyor. The team at Novello, from the office staff who booked my appointment to the surveyor who spoke to me on the phone and John who came out to do the survey were absolutely fantastic. They took time to chat to me, nothing seemed like it was a problem, the survey was detailed and fair and I felt like I’d received value for money. A perfect service from start to finish!

Very good service. I called them with very specific requests for a survey and they were able to meet all our needs. The report was very detailed and very personalised. We got a call before the report was sent explaining us in the detail the surveyor's opinion and recommendations. The only down sides were some missing information (in particular the surveyor couldn't remember if there was a washing machine or not and there were no pictures of that) and we also had to call to change the day of the survey due to bad weather (we had a drone survey included) since they would go ahead with the survey anyways but not do the whole service we wanted. It would have been better if the date change had been their initiative, but in the end they kindly accommodated to another date. Would use again and recommend.

Novello Surveyor's team and their roof surveyor, John Brooks, have given us excellent service. They were quick to respond to my request for a survey to find the cause of leaks in our upper rooms. John's survey is superb. He worked as a roofer before training as a surveyor and knows his roofs inside out. He used a drone camera to provide a complete visual survey, along with careful visual inspection, inside and out. His report is a model of clarity, giving us guidance on what to do in the short, medium and long term. He subsequently recommended a local firm to do the work (I approached another firm separately myself). We will engage John to check the work. I strongly recommend Novello Chartered Surveyors. However, you should be aware that you have to pay for a roof survey in advance, in order to secure the surveyor.

A first class professional outfit. I engaged Novello to complete a building survey when I bought my house. The report was extremely comprehensive, the surveyor called to introduce himself so I could go through any concerns and then agreed a time for us to speak after the report had been prepared. I used them again a few months later to re-inspect the roof repairs that I had contracted. Once again, Novello were professional and thorough and helped me to ensure the snagging was completed to the level it should be. John was particularly helpful, would not hesitate to recomend.

Very happy with our Level 3 Survey, of a period property we are purchasing, by Novello and would highly recommend.The process of arranging the survey was very efficient and we felt Novello gave the best quote compared to other local surveyors (as their quote included excellent detail about what the survey involved and example reports, which other companies did not provide).Our surveyor, John, did a great job explaining to us the main problem areas of the house and advised us on our next steps with those concerns.The report was then completed and sent to us, and our solicitors, within 3 working days. It was a comprehensive report and we feel it was worth the quoted price.

I'd been enquiring about prices with various surveyors, including Novello. One afternoon they called to say that they'd had a cancellation and asked if we'd like to take the slot. To encourage us, they offered a drone inspection and told us of the benefits this would bring. We chose a survey costing around £800, under the impression that they only accepted a limited number of clients at this price point in order to make time for them -- and that with the addition of the drone survey it would be good value. But our expectations on these grounds wouldn't be met. The surveyor was always busy, and after completing his visit to the property it would be a number of days before we received his report. In fact, when it was finally sent to us by email the file was corrupt. It took a lot of chasing before we could finally see a copy of what we had paid for. Making matters worse, it turned out that the drone inspection that had sealed the deal for us could not go ahead because the property was too near a flight path. When we raised this, the surveyor said the best thing he could do was ask whether we could get a discount on a future survey to make up for this omission but we never heard about that again. He seemed really friendly and knowledgeable, and the survey was good quality, but ultimately we still felt let down based on what we thought we were paying for and the amount we paid.

I commissioned Novello to provide a property valuation for probate purposes. The surveyor arrived on time and carried out his survey efficiently. The survey report arrived on time and gave me all the detail I needed. Novelloare not cheap but their rates are similar to other firms of surveyors. I would happily use them again.

We had a survey (private client) undertaken by Novello (John Brook), the survey was very detailed, John walked us through the survey in particular the areas of concern, in addition John supported is post survey with follow-up questions and advice. This was extremely helpful and we would recommend the Novello team.
