Contacted them after my van gearbox started making a horrendous noise. James was very helpful and gave me the options available. I dropped the gearbox off to them and within 24 hours I had a diagnosis, and photos of the damaged parts that needed replacement and a quote for the rebuild. Whilst not cheap, the quote was comparable with refurbished units from elsewhere. The work was carried out quickly, and the gearbox was returned looking good as new. It is smooth and silent and I'm very happy with the results. Would definitely use again and recommend James and his team.

Express Gearbox have just repaired the automatic gearbox on my SAAB 95. The job posed certain difficulties principally due to the scarcity of a major spare part and accessing the necessary technical information to re programme the transmission control module. However I was very impressed by their tenacity and willingness to stick with the problems which, due to their professionalism, were finally fully and successfully resolved. I recently needed the auto gearbox repairing on my 2002 C Class Merc. They were able to fit me in the following day at a price comparable to other providers. I was pleased with their friendly customer service and my car now has a new l see of life!I would definitely use them again and recommend to others seeking similar services. Rebuilt my old Capri axle after I made a horrible mess of it. I was in no hurry, but they repaired it quickly and it's now back in the car and so quiet. Great job and nice people, highly recommended if you want transmission properly rebuilt.

James did a great job with our Ford B-Max, he claimed directly through our warranty company and got the job done. There was a slight mistake in that the car wasn’t checked before I was called to collect it and it wasn’t quite right, but James took it straight back and got it well and truly fixed. With all that in mind the only thing that I found frustrating and would consider a negative is that we were told the job would take 3-5 days, in total it ended up taking nearly 3 weeks. If our expectations had been managed a little better I would without hesitation give 5 stars and recommend to anyone and everyone!!

Faultless, found the cause of the problems and isolated /repaired the issue. Great service. No hidden charges- great after care too.
