Great site with good sea views and walks however the beach although close was a fair walk around the golf course to get there. The facilities were good and clean. The picture I took on the entrance while was walking my dog.

Really pleased with the visit to this site. We have been, many times over 14 years of membership. There is always a warm welcome here at Dunbar. A variety of aspects are available, as the site is teired, which allows a good vista of the town in the distance and on a sunny day, fantastic sunsets. If you have a dog, there is a well maintained specific open field area for free run about, as well as a well maintained walk area.. On the rest of the site you are asked to keep your dogs on a lead.Access to Barns Ness Lighthouse is very nearby as is the town of Dunbar with a variety of good shops and cafes and an excellent fish & chip shop. ASDA is also very near.

Absolutely lovely. We arrived by bike after hours but were welcomed in and given a quiet level tent pitch for the night. (Look for the “Backpackers” envelope near reception.) We were allowed to move our tent the second day and had a nice sheltered spot under the tower.Staff were friendly, facilities were spotless, plenty of hot water, and the view can’t be beat. It was such a relaxing place, we stayed a day longer than initially planned.Dunbar is a quick trip by bike, with groceries, restaurants and sights.

Love, love, love this site! Never had a problem with the head warden and have stayed most weekends this year! Found him to be kind and very helpful, maybe the ones complaining either don't know or understand the guidelines the campsite has to work around? We didn't at first and were quite rightly asked to check guests in at reception, it was just something we never knew about. Always been treated, and greeted very warmly by all the staff, who in my opinion due a first class job on this beautiful well kept site!

Lovely site, the service is fantastic, I felt very welcome. They escort you to the pitch, go through everything with you and make sure everything is ok before leaving you to get on with it.Right next to the beach, great views and walks.

Only stayed for one night last weekend while a storm was going on. The manager was very friendly and came out in the rain to speak to us and tell us about the facilities. Toilets were spotless and town of Dunbar was only 5 mins along the road. Took our dog on one of the dog walks onsite and got spied on by a couple of deer.

Like others have said the campsite facilities are very good but all this is let down by the male staff and their terrible attitude towards the customers. I posted a review on the caravan and camping website, but I doubt it will be approved. The female staff members were friendly, helpful and made you feel welcome. One male warden seemed to constantly be looking for confrontation. I saw him berate a mobile cycle mechanic who appeared to help a campsite customer with her touring bike. He was extremely rude when I used the disabled facilities with my radar key, presuming it was open. Not all disabilities are visible you know.I also would not go back until these staffing issues are dealt with.

Just had 1 overnight stopover at Dunbar CCC Site. We were warmly welcomed by the Site Manager & offered a choice of Pitches. The Site was Immaculate, we couldn't find fault with anything. Will definitely have a longer stay next time.

UPDATE threatening behaviour. The warden went to my inlaws caravan where my mother-in-law was there on her own (a lady in her 50s) after just getting out her shower, he then spoke to her in a threatening manner to get this review removed. She has not been able to go to her caravan since.THE HEAD WARDEN IS A VERY RUDE PERSON WITH A SEVERE ATTITUDE,This man should not be public facing. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel unwanted at, we walked into the office to book in, we were excited and happy but were met with someone with a severe chip on his shoulder, this took the wind out of our sails completely. We were made to feel uneasy and were spoken to in a disgusting manner at this site. Throughout our stay I seen this warden on a number of occasions, on my second meeting (me thinking he may have had a bad day on our arrival so I tried to smile it off and communicate with this man), which went as well as out initial meeting. He made me feel like he was some sort of higher class citizen to me and I should not be wasting his time.I spoke to a number of people on this site and they all felt the same way about his attitude, we have visited this site a number of times in the past years around this time and it has never been as quiet as it was during our visit, the people I spoke to seemed to think this is a direct cause of this individuals attitude.I would like to say the other wardens were amazing, helpful and cheerful. This man ruined our visit and I will not be back to this site as long as he is the Warden.
