As a glasses and contact lens wearer I have been to many an optician in various places all over the country. After being referred to Mark for scleral lenses from the hospital, I can honestly say that Mark and the team have provided me with the very best, eyecare, knowledge and expertise, in a friendly environment and my experience has been far superior to any previous opticians in the past. Exceeded expectations. 'A high quality eye test, unhurried and with extra options'. A professional, skilled and comprehensive test - the most complete I have ever experienced. Full explanation of my eye health in a way I could understand. A wide selection of frames, advice on selecting the most suitable and fitted with care. Highly recommended.

Always warm and friendly, I prefer the more personal touch instead of these fast production line style high street stores where you don't feel like a name but instead more of a number. Here you won't feel like this, Mark and his staff, always make the experience a happy one which is important.

Made to feel very comfortable. Mr. Darling is a thorough professional not only in the conduct of the detailed tests that were done but also in the explanations of these in an easy to understand manner. Always polite, patient and courteous.I was handed a copy of the prescription without even asking, with very little sales pressure.I had a slight difficulty in understanding the Near" reading on the prescription

I would highly recommend Mark to anyone in need of urgent assistance, a widely knowledgeable individual who could answer every question thrown at him.Mark stayed past closing times to assist myself after i had taken a blow to the right eye, then further referring myself to the hospital in which he had contacted directly to let them know I was heading there and to be seen immediately.Massive thanks to Mark and colleagues to seeing me on such short notice, a business that handled the whole situation with a positive professional attitude and outstanding customer service!

Just had my lenses fitted for a condition called keratoconus and I was in shock how much I could see. I couldn't be happier I nearly hugged the man. It wasn't until I got home that it really hit me what I could see with them on I cannot recommend these opticians enough
